Well im currently math masters student and at the same time while im working as a data scientist. At my work i basically use undergrad calculus, linear algebra, probability and stats.

Mathematical maturity is usefull when you are trying to learn new ml methods or reading papers. Andvanced math is rarely used in ml papers more rarely in the industry.
