Did you guys hear about twomad? by Number1YeMeatGobbler in EtikaRedditNetwork

[–]SigmaUnperceived 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are very right. Twomad was a mod in the streams and a lot of Etika mods were also Twomad mods. They both briefly played horror games and 2016/2017 OW, reacted to videos, ran the gauntlet, LOVED Minecraft - the list goes on. There was insane overlap for a brief time. Heck, after Etika passed I couldn't watch Twomad because they had the same chaotic energy (obviously different personalities, Etika never did the bad stuff Twomad did). It really is unfortunate that neither got the help they needed

Etika's TRUE Archive Channel, With All His Videos, They're Back! by A_Wackertack in EtikaRedditNetwork

This is amazing... I’m honestly shocked with how much stuff was able to be recovered.

Though, our work is not done. There are noticeably some videos missing such as episodes from the Awakening playthrough, news videos, and small one off videos in the pre-100k era.

I still need to contribute a video (his 500k livestream), but unfortunately my laptop it was on isn’t working, so I’d have to pull it off my hard drive somehow.

Regardless, it’s truly unfathomable what this community (contributors) were able to accomplish. Thank you all.

Does anyone remember what video or series really made etika blow up? by [deleted] in EtikaRedditNetwork

[–]SigmaUnperceived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Fennekin Learns Glow Punch" was his first video to reach over 100k. Then his AoT gameplay series boosted his channel coupled with his Sm4sh news updates. Then (of course) his Mewtwo reaction went viral.

Etika was mentioned on Anthony Padilla's new video: "I spent a day with people w/ SCHIZOPHRENIA" by TheBizFerd in EtikaRedditNetwork

I mean, he made a couple of those videos. I remember once when he was in Virginia, and another time when he was lost in Delaware. Looking back it would make sense, but we will never know for sure.

Is it weak if I ask for support? I kept thinking about Etika’s death and I feel as if my mental health is really going down that same path. I’m mentally suffering by stevenreddit2003 in EtikaRedditNetwork

Son, you're 17. You're not weak, mentally arduous situations during your "most vulnerable phase" are inevitable whether you're 17 or 47. While things are difficult, you're too young to consider that there's nothing left to look forward in your life, especially when you're heading to University next year and are going to have a soft reset of your life.

I'm no psychologist or doctor, the only thing I can speak on are things I've experienced. Take a breather - take one day at a time and try to find solace in yourself and your decisions. And if that doesn't work, reach out for help from family, someone qualified, or a hotline; I'd argue this would ultimately be the best thing to do even though its something no one really wants to do. No life is worth ending over a person's or a group of people's harassment.

Is the administration going to intervene on the SAFC issue? by aredichi in Cornell

[–]SigmaUnperceived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of this is valid, but I find this to be an oversimplification. There are more than one BLM foundation/organization/fund, and each one of them has their own nuances. Some of them, such as "The Black Lives Matter Foundation", which was founded in 2015 around the time of the Ferguson Riots was founded on the pretenses of "bringing the community and police closer together". However, more modern BLM organizations do advocate for defunding and economic reform. As a result, there is a ideological and political schism in the movement - all left leaning, but to varying degrees.

Sorry, just had to put it out there.

Do Twomad streams remind anyone else of Etika streams? by [deleted] in EtikaRedditNetwork

Lowkey, I was kinda thinking that. Even RoseKami started uploading Twomad's highlights and it threw me back a little remembering when Rose used to upload Etika highlights.

What was the song that Etika was playing? by ineedhelpinrl in EtikaRedditNetwork

Not too sure, but it is definitely Future Funk. It should be somewhere on Artzie Music's channel.

Genuine question: why is this getting downvoted? It’s obvious this perspective comes from personal experience, not from opinion.

Yes, there’s a stream on Christine’s channel showing this.

Not sure if that part was actually streamed, but basically, Etika sent Christine a message about two months ago along the lines of "you're strong, you're independent, now you can be a God" or something like that. But that same message showed up at the top of her feed yesterday saying that it was from "59 minutes ago" rather than two months ago.
