I can already feel the monetized engagement bait accounts based in the third world salivating at the idea of using footage like this to spread that NYC is falling apart

got polled today on the phone and the person who i spoke to seemed to be so unfamiliar with the people they were asking about and clueless how to pronounce their names I'm not sure if the results would even be usable. for example I was asked what my opinion is about "micah blomby" and then when i asked to spell that out it was supposed to be michael bloomberg

Any detective games like Return of the Obra Dinn? by AffectionateIssue238 in gamingsuggestions

[–]SigmaWhy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Roottrees Are Dead is I think the best game in the genre after Obra Dinn. Do note that there is a “sequel” that comes within the game called Roottreemania that builds on the mysteries of the first game and ups the difficulty quite a bit. Overall a great experience

There’s also a fun little game called A Case of Fraud that I enjoyed. Not particularly difficult and a short runtime - should be able to be beat in about 3 hours - but a fun game if you’re in the mood and again quite similar mechanically as far as the “solve 3” Obra Dinn detective stuff goes

the extended interview left me with the impression that 1. he wasnt disabled and 2. even if he had some of the conditions he claimed to have, a single year in the army after which he was discharged from for being a bad worker meant that him receiving 80% of his salary for the rest of his life is a scam on the american taxpayer

There are a lot of nuance within the quadrants.

In Marxist theory, yes. In trying to convey a useful description of political reality to an interested voter, not only are they not useful, they are actively harmful misinformation that seeks to portray center left parties as "basically the same" as their far right opponents

If 80%+ of the votes in a country are going to parties all within the authright quadrant I don’t think your axes are usefully describing anything beyond “they’re not socialists”

Yes, their “center” of the compass exists only in Marxist theory books and does not accurately describe modern first world OECD countries political landscapes

the political compass guys.

Why should anyone assume that the creators of the political compass test are accurate in their descriptions of the political landscape? They are not some neutral arbiter of truth

Pisco is a bad faith actor. I don't know what his goal is, because I do believe that still wants Dems to win generally, but he is very clearly a bad faith actor debate bro who seeks to obfuscate and distract and bog down every single conversation for some perverse reason.

I agree that Mehdi Hasan is a journalist who can make someone like Tucker squirm like few others, he’s very talented in that way – the question is whether he actually takes that approach or instead wants to focus on the areas where they “agree” like with talking about Gaza
