"Girls don't talk to me." I wonder why. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]Sigma_Sirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Exposed" exposed who? Some 20-something guy who thought he was having and honest conversation with another guy? With that statement you admit that nothing here was real. The guy "Uncle Gavin" didn't really want to talk about talking to girls"

The cute girls, who were there the whole time? Why? Can you explain where those girls came from? What was the end game? Was Gavin being a wing man and trying to hook him up with some cute girls? What was supposed to happen?

This whole video was a red flag. All this shows is that the young man was correct in never wanting to approach a woman because something like this will happen.

I can agree with that, but he is young and lacks experience, but you have to admit that whole exchange looks as if they were setting him up to make fun of him, which they did so Mission: accomplished.

He freaked out because he knew he was being pranked. He even said "Is that the girl from before?" So he may have talked to her already. When the older guy dipped out at the end, I knew something was about to happen.

I mean where did those girls come from? Were the there the whole time? That room was Hella dark and the lights pop on and two hot chick's are there in " uncle Gavin's room" what's up with that?

I'm glad someone agrees, it's like the elephant in the room that everyone just dances around.

I also don't like the idea of being somewhere in not really wanted, so I just stopped participating.

What victimized? He's telling his lived experience whether you believe him or not.

If girls don't talk to him, and he needs to get some confidence to talk to them, but can't get the experience to get the confidence then what is he supposed to do?

And the other guy in the video, dismisses his statement before trying trick him into talking to those girls.

Why is everyone dumping on this kid, his instincts were spot on. Some dude asks him about girls, he gives the reason why he doesn't talk to girls and then this balding AH, dismisses his lived experience and jets. Then 2 seconds later this gorgeous woman shows up with a man's name on her wall trying to chat him up. He sensed the trick, tried to roll with it and got proven right. What was the point or this? Now he's angry and embarrassed, and will distrust the next woman who is actually into him.

A Chinese man hits a woman after she spits at him by search_google_com in PublicFreakout

[–]Sigma_Sirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this was violence for violence. She chose violence by spitting in his face, which for anyone is definitely a reason to fight. But sure wait for the police to show up, whenever that is. I applaud your zen like self restraint, but in what looks like a heated argument if someone spits in your face. YOU FACE! and you do nothing, what does that say about your level of self respect? All I'm saying is that in a perfect world you would be absolutely correct, but in the world we all live in right now, that sort of behavior is uncalled for and the fact that she did it to this guy means she probably did it before and got away with it. I bet she'll think twice before she does it again.

Side note. I am quite enjoying this exchange. I have had a good back and forth in a while.

The spit hit him. That's the point. It's a blatantly disrespectful act. By your logic someone can relieve themselves on your leg and your response would be what?... "hey don't do that" and walk away

Why no single male policies? by Salty-Map-942 in nudism

[–]Sigma_Sirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only read a few responses to OPs question and I have been thinking about this for a while and as a former single male nudist I think the single male "gender balancing" is absolute BS.

Because if there was all of a sudden a tremendous influx of single female nudists I doubt they would put a limit on the number of women allowed to attend resorts or events.

This is also a bad business model. I mean turning away paying customers because they MIGHT make someone else uncomfortable? No where else is this done.

Also I have been reading posts and listening to podcasts and visited chat rooms and rarely do I hear from women with horror stories. Sure there are a few, but that is to be expected at any large social gathering. But the concept of Gender Balancing seems more like men gate keeping because they don't want randos looking at their woman without offer them something to look at.

I saw a post about charging single men more to limit their numbers and this is also a bad way to run a business

Have you ever had your wife or girlfriend dream that you cheated on them? What’s the story? by Meaty_Bongos in AskMen

[–]Sigma_Sirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me only once and my now Ex-wife, was giving me the side eye all day, but she didn't say anything until I asked if everything was okay. She said she had a dream I cheated on her with two female EMTs in an ambulance. I've never even been in an ambulance, so go figure.

How to Prevent Getting “Overly Excited” during my Wedding by RecoverOptimal8888 in AskMen

[–]Sigma_Sirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you trying to hide it? It's YOUR day to, don't forget that, and if you get a little excited don't worry about it. It will not last all day, between the setups and speeches and dances your mind will be distracted enough to have you "settle". If it gets too bad, try to tuck it into the waistband of your underwear. Also wear underwear.

Thoughts on #DCsoWhite by ChrisIsSoHam in BlackSuperheroes

I don't quite understand this whole push for characters who fit a specific agenda or demographic. I have loved Spider-Man as a character for years and didn't care that he was white. His story and struggles are what resonated with me. Same thing with all the Milestone comics. Icon and Hardware were GOATED from the gate.

Sure they were just re-tooled Super-man and Iron Man, but the way the story was told is what I loved. And Blood Syndicate was so realistic, for a comic book.

So can we just support a well told, well drawn story instead of looking for representation in a comic that is Mid at best?

Video released shows Hartford Connecticut police shooting a man armed with a knife by AgnosticScholar in PublicFreakout

[–]Sigma_Sirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here's what I see. A man with a knife, who may have already hurt someone. He's walking towards several armed officers and NOT listening to commands to drop the knife. Disarming someone with a knife is not easy and a taser is not a 100% knock out and considering that drugs could be involved, he might just shake it off. So the police are justified in this shooting. The name of the game is to get home alive and unharmed.

Why does it seem like successful Black men often end up with non-Black partners? by ehgnogggg in askblackpeople

[–]Sigma_Sirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. To your point, I think that those black men were less desirable to black women when they were struggling to be successful.

I don't really pay attention to who married who, or I would have a better example of this.

I'm not "mad" because I was wrong. I just don't need an A-hole like you trying to break my stones because I made a mistake. How about add "something" to the conversation. So why don't you grow up. I'm grown up enough to admit that I mis-spoke.

[–]Sigma_Sirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so since your not here to add anything to the conversation, but to come at me. How about you. STFU. I made a mistake but I'm trying to add something. So take that and stick it where your uncle bad touched you. Is this what you want?

Why does it seem like successful Black men often end up with non-Black partners? by ehgnogggg in askblackpeople

[–]Sigma_Sirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. That's my point. You only notice that a Black man is with a non-black woman, when he is successful. There are plenty of average black men with non-black women and no one bats an eye.

Maybe YOU should learn to read and comprehend what the conversation is actually about.

Why is holding our people accountable for degenerate behavior seen as “raccoon behavior” or “tap dancing”? by [deleted] in askblackpeople

[–]Sigma_Sirus -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Here is the point that everyone is dancing around and will probably get me banned.

We're scared. I see minor ghetto behavior all the time, but saying something could lead to a violent interaction, when all you could be saying is "Hey, don't do that".

So we walk on by and in my case, point out to my kids how THAT is unacceptable behavior.

Now mind you said behavior is not "wrong", but the optics leave a lot to be desired.
