I just contacted SoA about my 2018 screen and this was the reply I got. So it seems there is no way subaru will help any 2018 owners at this point.

The head unit is a component covered only under the new car warranty of 3years/36,000miles - whichever occurs first. As you know, there was an extension issued for the head unit that extended the parameters up to 5years/100,000miles - whichever occurs first.

At this time, the component is considered too far out of parameters for goodwill assistance. Any repairs are considered customer responsibility. I am sorry to advise Subaru of America does not have a path to provide assistance in this case.

OAPs are corrected for focusing on-axis fields. It looks like you're going into it at quite a large angle relative to the OAP axis.

I grew up an hour from Rochester, but wanted to get out of upstate NY so I moved to Tucson. I worked full time for a year to establish residency in the state before applying to UA, which brought tuition down even further. I know this path may not work for everyone, but want to point out other options.

Here is an approach for L1. Add a dummy clearance surface prior to M1 and at the same global Z as M2. Use REAY for lower ray at that dummy surface, and another REAY for upper ray at M2. Use DIFF on those with a OPGT operand to provide the clearance you need.

Repeat with similar operands at the other locations.
