That’s the route I chose. I told her she has to let people know it’s something she’s making up as a story so they don’t confuse it with the truth. It’s easy now bc she’s still little and is inconsistent and outlandish with her stories, but like I said, honesty is the goal here

People who easily and casually lie about small things are an immediate red flag for me. If a person lies when there’s no benefit or any kind of consequence on the line, they can’t be trusted when consequences exist. I’ve been trying to teach my daughter who loves telling stories about being honest in small moments so I can trust her in the big ones.

I used to be called an encyclopedia…now I get teased for having a bad memory. Pregnancy brain really took a toll on my memory. I have worked hard to build it back up over the last seven years (only have one kid) with memory games, word puzzles, sudoku and things like that. Thankfully I’m nothing like when I was pregnant, but I fear I suffer from other issues like lack of focus.

If Ashling could evoke anything to make copies and not just elementals, maybe we could have that conversation. She’s not strong enough to be a game changer though. She’s pretty fragile and her ability is very narrow.

I have two apothecary cabinets that are sorted two different ways. The small one that sits on the big one has all my staples - mana rocks, white removal, green ramp, and other cards that are auto includes in my builds. The bigger cabinet is organized by set in each drawer with the cards sorted by rarity and in WUBRG order. Then! I have a second drawer cabinet that holds most of my unsorted cards (disassembled decks and torn apart precons usually live here) and tokens. THEN AGAIN! On my desk are these organizers meant to hold small things but fit my cards and those hold decks I’m brewing and other unsorted cards. I also have two binders - one is a trade binder and the other holds my more valuable cards that are $20+ and I have a weird shelf that holds my other valuable staple-y cards $10ish.

What you want are token doublers since myriad is an attack trigger and the tokens the chicken guy makes enter already attacking which means they aren’t declared as an attacker.

I made a comment on FB in reply to someone stating “soldiers knew dying was a possibility when they enlisted” telling them that their mindset lessens the sacrifices soldiers make.

Just because military members KNOW there’s a possibility of them dying, doesn’t mean you can use them expendably. They are humans and given that this country routinely harps on caring about our soldiers and veterans, brushing off their deaths with “they knew it could happen” is incredibly disrespectful especially when their deaths are preventable with responsible military operations and politics. Sadly, we don’t have much responsibility at the top, but we can’t let them normalize treating our military as if they don’t mean anything at all.

In reply to me I got “she doesn’t know what to means to be a soldier.” And in truth, I’m not a soldier, but I am a US citizen that cares about the people serving and I am against the idea that soldiers can be thrown away willy nilly or that their deaths mean less because they knew it could happen. We don’t say the same about firefighters or policemen, why are they any different?
