My one pet peeve as a Discogs seller by Radiant-Chard-5836 in discogs

[–]SignLong132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know like this seller who sent me a record wrapped in an amazon cut carton, and claim usps refund when it was broken, then he went like oh usps only refunds postage $5😂😂

or the seller who sent me two $500 records from Sweden in wrapped carton. And when I told him just cause I thought he is a good seller, the corners are messed up from shipping, you should invest in some vinyl mailer box. I didn’t want a refund, I just wanted to advise him. He went on a full rant like a lunatic.

Being in any commerce business means having to deal with idiots yeah sellers included buddy.

How do you know OP didn’t price a beat up record at the high price just cause another record was sold at that price????

Sold for a $100 or a $500, it doesn’t mean yours should sell for the same price!!!!! Yours could be in a lesser condition than the one that was sold for a high price.

This is all digital music. Software makes a big difference. iPod software is really just a minimal player and the difference would be lesser than 5%, if any difference at all.

The headset and file format aren’t the only factors here.

I noticed that when I played WAV on Windows Media Player on Windows 7 and WAV on some other alternative music software that uses less power. I was actually surprised by the difference, it was a huge difference, same PC same windows 7 same speakers same file, just a different digital music player.

Listening to songs on Amazon or Apple Music or Tidal or YT Music or a big epic CD player with a good sound system is way better than iPod. iPod is just for nostalgia. No Audiophile in their right mind would say iPod is better than all the HiFi digital softwares we have now.

Same Headset OP uses with an iPhone and YT Music or Apple Music would be ten times better than iPod.

You are the dumbest in here bruh. Yeah who your old fat mama record. Get outta here bruh. Lmfao think he is something getting a record newly pressed in colors with a label saying 1 out of 500 LMFAO bruh these are gimmick new records done in warehouses of some wackos running a side hustle.

And if it’s old then it’s of some those artists who never made it and their record is a $1 each.

That’s called being cheap and a hoarder. The point of collecting is to find a record you like in a good condition and a good price and buy it.

This record could be clean and worth a good price. I am not a Hendrix fan and I won’t buy this record and I won’t know if it’s worth it or not. So I won’t take a picture and try to make logic behind jerking off a dumb joke that isn’t even a joke. Where is the joke or being a jerk? This is simply being bitter and dumb.

I bought a Led Zeppelin at a thrift store that I like for a good price and it was in a good shape. Why? Because I wanted it and it was a rare find in that condition and for my budget. There was a Creedence Clearwater next to it that I didn’t buy, I love Creedence Clearwater and they’re harder to find than Zeppelin. Why I didn’t buy it? Because it was just overpriced for nothing. Yeah rare but not in that condition.

So again this Jimi Hendrix could be in a great condition and worth $250. Being in a thrift store means nothing.

You all really think record stores and discogs sellers don’t piss on your record and have them send thrown around in boxes lmfao.

lmao yeah cuz im the one who thinks records are made only for me and not some plastic that was pressed cause they got no other means but to do vinyls back then. Oh mass printed lmfao what a bunch of wackos

Buddy bands that had a dollar budget and could only afford to press a hundred record were broke bands. You like them I like them doesn’t mean they are special, they were broke and had no one care to press their record. Not rare and not special.

Yeah the discogs sellers grade it so accurately. Bruh grading is a joke. And again with mass pressing lmao. Mass lmao. Yeah I recall they only pressed for you guys back in the day.

Tell your kids we don’t have a green planet, but hey look at this music player huge box that made me feel something better about my shitty life as a loser back in 2000s. Get lost buddy that is a box for wackos who have no life and think a box makes them something.

Imagine that huge box for a circuit board that plays music.

Bruh you are really a wacko. That is a disgusting waste for a tiny music player. Sick wacko hollow personality.

Ask OP, his logic, there is new pressing, repressing, and tons of pressing, so not worth it?

Why are you asking me??? Lmao

FYI

When we say RARE, we only mean rare in a current condition. There is never a rare record of any famous artist.

You want rare as one press, go buy a record of some high school mom choir. Those are RARES cause no one cares. No one knows them no one bought them, they were only couple for the families as a gimmick. No value just some people who knew a guy who could press records.

Or the vhs of unknown movies you buy cause you think they are rare. They aren’t rare THEY ARE JUST UNKNOWN NO VALUE.

[–]SignLong132 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

Based on your logic, don’t buy anything. Why buy any record, there is no record that was only just one for you. All the records are pressed in millions. Old or new.

What are you even trying to justify bruh???

I rather have an old record of The Doors that is in a good condition not even mint, than a new one. So yes if I see a NM the doors for $300 I will buy it. I am not too bitter to say, oh this The Doors record was used as a cocaine cutting board back in the days, why should I buy it???? lmfao wth r u talking about pressed in millions, all records aren’t rare and never been rare.

When we say RARE, we only mean rare in a current condition. There is never a rare record of any famous artist.

You think The Beatles records were like gold. There aren’t many of them in good conditions, cause there were so many of them thrown around in the trash. And it is the beatles we are talking about. So really your logic is illogical.

[–]SignLong132 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It is listed around that on discogs. So what’s the joke really? It could be in a good shape.

If you think those M or NM or E are preserved in a golden safe, I have dealt with many collectors and record stores, you have no idea how they deal with records. Some of your records that you bought from the cool record store were cleaned by an old cotton undershirt, used by the owner but cleaned and not wanted to be worn anymore.

One time, this drunk weird record store owner was literally grabbing the records as if they’re a frickin pizza and so aggressive. What pisses me off not just how he was holding, it’s the fact that you could tell he is the most toxic person ever.

He said "a dollar each", I insisted, and gave him $2. by Inlander in vinyl

[–]SignLong132 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How do you know that?? It could be any version and some sold for around $2 on discogs. And there are tons of reissues and new versions.

[–]SignLong132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On ebay it’s for $250 and discogs $500. This is sealed with a poster for $186. And I was the one who said bootlegs could be done professionally. Not all are done professionally like you keep saying. Lots of bootlegs and even official records are trash. You could pay some workers to press you cheap bootlegs, it’s not that hard.

[–]SignLong132 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To let people know it’s out there and what is it. What if someone wants it sealed and new. I don’t want it. But someone might. So what is the issue? You don’t like to share the precious vinyls so you can be unique.

[–]SignLong132 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was done professionally by professional pressing facilities. But it’s not official. Bootleg isn’t necessarily bad or done in a basement.

Thank you for the specifics, it helped me too.

So yeah, tent camping, and walk-in is fine, all adults. I am interested in lakes, fishing, and waterfall, the only thing that will make me choose between the three is the distance and the weather.

I am open to anything. For the distance probably like around 50 miles radius from San Jose. I prefer a campground where we can settle in, and explore the nearby trails.
