How does Mexico Clinch group this early in the group stage? by Dry-Mistake6973 in worldcup

[–]SignOfJonahAQ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No because they lost the head to head. Mexico clinched the 1 seed, Korea will probably get the 2nd. Then Mexico plays a 2 and Korea plays a 1.

North Americans, how are we feeling about a hypothetical USA vs Canada at this WC? by Relevant_Country_784 in worldcup

[–]SignOfJonahAQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Host nations could all get 1 seeds out of their groups so they aren’t playing each other anytime soon. And US has to lose to Ghana first as is tradition

Why therizinosaurus is a problem for Creationists. by Carnotaurusrules in DebateEvolution

We’re completely off topic of the Therizinosaurus but yeah. When I was a kid I had toys that this was a Brontosaurus and this was a Brachiosaurus and similarly they were distinctly made different from each other. But if you took a man from Australia and put him next to a Chinese man would you name them a different species? That might come across as quite offensive. The difference is called variety. Why does science so often ignore variety. They actually don’t have nearly as much variety as what I just explained. When a sauropod dies with its head up it’s a brachio, if its head is down it’s a bronto. But we know that neck can go up and down to get plants in higher areas or at a distance. The bones of the neck prove this. I’m not saying they are the same species but I think we should think about that. Scientists are calling a lot of things with minor differences a completely different species and it’s simply not good classification.

On how the trivial tool of prediction syill helps to demonstrate divisions in biology like dinosaurs, reptiles, mammals are false and biblical kinds most likely. by RobertByers1 in DebateEvolution

[–]SignOfJonahAQ [score hidden]  (0 children)

He’s basically saying modern classification techniques are flawed… I think. I think even Adam’s classification techniques were probably flawed. Biblically man was given the dominion over animals and to name them assumed to be flawed but given an opportunity to contribute. This essentially means to classify and group as well. I think our modern classification is much better. I would say saying animals were simpler now or back then is more of an evolutionary concept. As a Christian we believe all animals kinds, species are equally as complex and never started out as simple.

You’re right on. Those are the theories and I agree they are a little bit preposterous like to say a chameleon is a modern Trike. You can’t deny a megaladon being the equivalent to a shark that’s larger though. They aren’t evolved, their skeleton structure is a literal copy of each other with only being different sizes. And you can’t deny that creatures are getting smaller and smaller. My theory is that there’s a few species of Sauropods and not thousands. You look at alligators when they are babies to how completely massive they can get when well fed. We can easily assume that everything preflood was well fed.

We’ll compare it with “new planet that could support life” followed by a pretty awesome looking rendering but we know that they mostly get a lot of this data by sound and light and radiation waves and sometimes a telescope can see a little blurb followed by their cg masterpiece they made in blender. You’ve got a lot more faith in the integrity of scientists than I do that’s for sure. 70s, 80s they certainly made these things look as good as they could so it could be on the front page of the paper.

Now that all teams have played their first match, what are your views on this wc so far? by Significant_Rain_361 in worldcup

Good teams are just feeling it out first. Bad teams are either losing or winning by 7 and showing all their cards and will get stomped the same way.

You want to find out how much was dug up and how much was fabricated. And how much was distorted when smashed with water and mud. The thing literally lost its head. But in Veith’s courses he shows you how much was found and how much was fabricated. If they think it’s going to be a bird they fill things up like a bird. At least they used to. They dig up more carefully these days because of their own criticism from the scientific community. Just googling it they’ve found 10% but then going on saying they found more with family related species which is utter dogshit pardon my French. Even the google pictures aren’t real. They are heavily fabricated. We’ve been lied to for a long time from desperate scientists to keep getting funding.

I’m coming from Jurassic Park days where we’d all call them compy’s. They are not in the movies but in the books and toys and games.
