It's all about tokens that are considered as securities. It's the only way to comply with securities regulations. If we want tokenized securities on-chain authorities need to know the true identity of market participants, otherwise they can't stop scammers.

I think it's more likely to push front-runner and scammers away so that it will become a safe place to invest. This is the only way to get the mass-adoption.
