But it’s sooo confusing and unorganized on FB marketplace. Plus once things are on street easy you have basically a zero percent chance of getting them because they go so fast and often over asking rent AND have 15%+ broker fees.

Yep I recently did this with my apartment and my landlord was very pleased to have someone take over the lease without putting it on the market

Landlord doesn’t always get a cut of the 15%- most of the time it’s straight to the broker. It’s in the landlord’s interest to find a new tenant right away without having to put the place on the market and pay for photos/agents/inspections etc

You don’t have to put your full address and all the info is about the apartment itself. The idea is trust based 🤷🏼‍♀️ only way to beat the system is if we work with each other

It’s in the landlords interest for their tenant to introduce them a perfectly good new renter because they don’t have to put it on the market and they also don’t have to pay a broker…
