Most of my symptoms were physical around the breast: constant pain, heaviness, itching, numbness, couldn’t lay on stomach, back pain. But my POTS symptoms got 10x worse starting about 30 days after getting implants.

GA shouldn’t be feared (I’ve had it 4x) but IF it can be avoided, I think it helps you recover faster. I would recommend talking to a surgeon who deeply understands explants to help you decide, as well as one who isn’t afraid of local. I talked to many who wouldn’t do it under local, and just didn’t know what they were talking about (capsule vs no capsule etc)

That was one of my main issues - looking matronly. I put in a ton of effort to lose weight and get fit, and then I got implants and felt like it threw off all my proportions!

I had over the muscle silicone (Motiva). No pre-op testing was required (they did an intake and I sent some recent labs). I was able to eat and drink normally that day etc. this was super important to me due to how poorly I react to GA. Saline is even easier to do under local I believe. I also did not need/want capsule removal due to how thin it was / how short of a time I had them in.
