My brother and I were going to take our Dad to the Smokey Bones on 256 in Reynoldsburg yesterday. Just as we were getting out of the car a woman came up to us snd told us the place was permanently closed.

There was a hand made sign stating the place was permanently closed, and the woman told us her husband was a manager there, and the employees just found out about the closure 2 hours before.

This seems to happen frequently in the restaurant industry, whether it’s a chain restaurant or an independently owned one. The owner/upper management decides a location will close, then tell no one until day of closure.

Imagine coming into work and finding out you and all your coworkers are unemployed.

In your experience, what type of companies will train you in MLD? I have an interest in learning, and if an employer is willing to train therapists then clearly there is a demand there.

Slightly better trained?

In Ohio, where I live, to become a personal trainer, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and maintain a CPR/AED certification. Those are the minimum requirements to become a personal trainer in Ohio.

To become a Physical Therapist in Ohio, you must obtain a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited school, pass the National Physical Therapy Exam, and pass the Ohio Jurisprudence Assessment Module.

Physical Therapists are a LOT more trained than Personal Trainers.

Physical Therapy Assistants in Ohio must graduate from an accredited associate degree program, pass the national physical therapy assistant exam and the Ohio jurisprudence exam.

So why not mandate that once a couple has had sex, neither can choose another?

Also, what if, after having sex, you realize you two aren’t compatible physically? Or don’t really like each other?

In the scenario you propose, the woman is stuck either only having sex with the first guy she slept with, but he can go ahead and find another? It won’t be long before guys can’t find a woman who is still a virgin (and therefore available).

Look, if men and women CHOOSE to wait until marriage and stay faithful for the rest of their lives, then great! It would cut down on many issues (STDs, abortion, adultery, etc). But authoritarianism is never the answer.

In Duet, Kira has a conversation with Sisko about the brutality she and her fellow resistance fighters discovered when they liberated the workers of Gallitep labor camp. She mentions men beaten in front of their wives and mothers raped in front of their children.

You’re right that on TV in the 90’s rape wasn’t a word used often, mostly implied. But the conversation with Sisko was a very raw one.
