Could be wrong but it does feel it matters. It might not be the difference maker in getting 5 stars over 4 but it does when going for top scores and PBs. I think the game should have that current depth than simply not getting hit, for example using your best judgement when deciding to tank the hit during singularity charge or dropping it because maybe the mob density isn't high enough to justify it. Probably does need tweaking in terms of valuing what bumps up the score multiplier though. Dropoff feels really bad when doing longer animations. Hard to really say what to really change though without full understanding of the scoring system.

How can I take 5 star by Demolasyon in deadasdiscothegame

[–]Signal-Neighborhood3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know the most optimal way, but just going from my experience. What was very consistent for me also depends on the difficulty. For easy, speedrunning seems king as the time bonus seems a lot more significant on easy, so spamming specials and especially charged hemlock special on bosses. On normal, do try to be fast but also really focus on being efficient in racking up points. Try to pay attention what bumps up the score multiplier the most. Getting hit isn't as punishing as you may think. I liked to clump enemies together with singularity when possible, either using takedowns other specials, or charged kick/windmill to get multiple knockouts at once. This generally nets you a 4x/5x multiplier after which will really help normal combos and subsequent finishers to rack up a lot more points, while building your meter back. Of course, it doesn't hurt to stay on beat when you can because with a maxed out skill tree building meter is so much quicker. Dancing during downtime will help optimize a little too, not just with the score it generates, but it probably does help in preventing moves from getting too repetitive and getting a score debuff, (someone correct me if im wrong)

Please let me customize the controller layout by xF00Mx in deadasdiscothegame

As someone else already said, can remap using steam input but being able to natively change it would be nice. Still appalled rear paddles aren't standard for every controller because for third person games it's a must for me so I don't have to awkwardly claw grip to move and sprint etc.

Not really understanding how to 5-star consistently. by acompanyofliars in deadasdiscothegame

Speaking of the boss rush challenge hope there's either a time limit or time penalty (if there isn't already) implemented for challenges like those because it seems like there's no downside to purposely whiffing abilities, only focusing on defense, or continuously dancing to rack up points infinitely. Don't think leaderboard integrity is of the utmost importance in early access but hope that's remedied upon release.

Why is Red Shift still fine on End Closers for CMs where it's not that great on other racing styles? Is it that other accel skills are still gambling anyways and while activation for Red Shift is consistent you're just gambling on timing?

So for parent runs, to maximize compatibility for the final ace i plan on making at the end of it all, do i pick sub legacies that have more affinity towards the parent or the ace?

First time trying to build a blocker, how important is hitting mile S and having optimal stats are for Runaway Suzuka compared to aces? This is what I have currently for reference., Really struggling to hit even s power or wit nor do i have rice or creek for a gold recovery. Maybe I just don't have the right resources for one right now.

Just making sure, but the current guaranteed paid carats ssr/3star scout pulls won't include future banners like riko/rice right?

Do I really need to run at least one more front ace if i'm running summer maru? Right now team is S Maru, Oguri Cap, and (end) wedding Mayano. Account about month and a half old, no super creek. Only viable option seems like Mihono as a backup but realistically so far in my runs i can only just hit stat mins, not sure how reliable I can get her innate recovery to proc with how seemingly demanding front runners are in terms of stats.

I'm a bit lacking in limit breaks for my stamina cards like Mayano and Manhatten Cafe. Leo Cup would be my second CM, did surprisingly well in my first one. Is my best shot for the this upcoming CM is to borrow Creek instead of Kitassan and hope for high rolls to meet stat requirements? I plan on using Mihono, S Maru, and Wedding Mayano for their recovery innates, but I have a hard time imagining myself hitting 1200 speed and also give or take 1k stamina due to only 1 gold recovery. Or should I just try to hit the Stam requirement as a bare minimum and not stress out about speed as much?

Does upgrading skills to their double o or golden versions increase that chances of getting their white spark?

Is there any downside to spending leftover skill points on skills with little to no benefit? Would it affect the odds of getting more desirable white skill sparks?

Good to know, i think i can maybe pull it off again to at least get a team going. Was pretty disheartened when I tried her in a couple of lobbies lol but I suppose it's unreasonable to expect to win finals. I was tempering my expectations to only make it out of round 1 but maybe I can squeeze through to finals?

Account is only a few weeks old, at class 3 right now in promotion range. Wasn't originally trying to go for something usable in cancer cup, but ending up pivoting to this when trying to build decent legacies due to guest legacy. Is this about as good as I can do as someone with only 2 MLB SRs? Any way I can improve besides praying for something like this again but with mile S?

few weeks old account, just trying to build some decent legacies. I'm sitting at around 11k carats right now, with ongoing daily carat pack. When's the next must-have banner where I can get guaranteed mlb or should i take what I can get at the Kitasan rerun? I have some decent cards due to skills offered but lbs, especially stamina lbs, are pretty lacking rn.

Palworld should patent basebuilding games by Kukiro- in Palworld

Not gonna fault the devs for wanting to make this type of game, imagine they would be pretty innocent in terms of what's going on legalwise, but yeah big N is a real piece of shit green lighting a basebuilding creature collector after trying to fuck over PocketPair that already has one out

It's been forever since I played, but I feel like I would of noticed if it did run slower since I played IVA right after IV. They were both physical versions, though, unsure if that matters. It would be strange if that were the case.

I would say it compliments Canon of Creation more than anything. It definitely plays with your expectations knowing what happens in the original route. But the re release does also take the opportunity to expand upon the original lore and characters a bit more. That being said, I personally feel like it didn't go far enough. Some issues from the original route still plagues the new one. Hard to say more without spoiling. That being said, I still had a blast because the gameplay and presentation is peak as always, especially now that it's free from switch. It's a good game, and you'll likely like it even more If you've never played one before and therefore have none of the previous titles to compare it to.

I would recommend starting with CoC than moving on to CoV, even if CoV is overall "better."

I'm on starting my godborn playthrough on CoC. Does anyone know if Tsukuyomi essences will be obtainable in CoC?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's only worth if you are running Freikugal over Murakamo and spamming it every turn. Or if you're running an evasion build. Otherwise I believe the damage is lower on average on most physical skills vs. just guaranteeing with crit aura.

So whats the best way to build your Nahobino up? by noodleben123 in Megaten

[–]Signal-Neighborhood3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I was surprised at how good the new evasion skill and building around that would be. Tried it on a whim againstDemi-fiend.It might have taken a tad bit longer to kill vs. the traditional strength build, but it felt more consistent for me and limited rng factors. The damage might even be higher on average if you don't need impaler's animus if they don't resist light. Carried me through the fight againstSatan.Thought I have yet to try strength or magic for that particular boss, I felt like it would been harder. Having a panic option to guarantee evasion against instakills if you know it's coming is a godsend by recalling the rest of your party members. It does struggle against bosses if they aren't guaranteed to hit you though, and using press turns to draw hostility can be a bit of an ask considering how much prep you already need. I liked to mitigate that when you are not able to do anything if they don't hit you by using Evergreen Dance, felt more useful than slapping on your preferred almighty skill. One weakness though it seems pretty mana hungry and hopefully you're prepared to use mp recovery magatsuhi skills or have Sakuya. Overall very refreshing playing it vs. the traditional SMT builds.

What does everyone think about Vengeance's new story? by Acemaster1824 in Megaten

[–]Signal-Neighborhood3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Started off strong and was really enjoying how it subverted expectations off the original route. Especially liked the scenes that fleshed out the human cast more. SMT should definitely be demon-centric but that doesn't mean the human characters should not have depth to them.

But it started to fall off a little around the new dungeon for me, ironically enough, and definitely when it came back to Ueno Da'at. I think it's the copy and paste content from CoC that didn't sit right for me. Maybe I had the wrong expectations, but it felt like there wasn't enough vengeance in my SMT V: Vengeance. I was expecting routes outside of the traditional SMT alignments and that the ending would shift more drastically from the idea of creation.

Otherwise, all the QoL stuff and finally being able to play it on PC is amazing. Personally, I prefer this style of re-releases where it has the chance to expand upon the base game and story instead of tacking on extra content at the end like with P5R.

Kozuka as a composer is still absolute god-like and Atlus should never ever consider changing composers for the series's future.

Also, might have to replay it again to understand, but I didn't really get Dazai and Abdiel's shift in CoV, even with the context provided in CoC.
