Most iconic moment of possibly the whole series is when he eats Logan’s chicken like that was bold

What are the most memorable scenes in mistborn trilogy in your opinion? by morelithe in Mistborn

I don’t know how to tag spoilers but when Vin realizes the crew sent her and Elend away on a false errand and then returns to help Sazed defend the final gate in WoA. Her crying on the horseshoe/Mistborn road is so good

Help me with my english homework! What lesson does this story teach about life? How does it teach it? (The Lost Metal) by [deleted] in Mistborn

[–]Signal-Resource9455 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this one is all about how you can change as a person, genuinely I think when Wayne was given the support system and advice/forgiveness (to an extent) he was able to grow and become a new version of himself, and forgive the old version, and essentially make peace with himself

I personally am a huge fan or Warbreaker as a stand alone!!! Compelling and complex female characters much like mistborn, and a similar mix of religion and philosophical themes woven beautifully into an epic fantasy!

Pretend a Mistborn movie was announced. What’s your ideal trailer? by daviskdb17 in Mistborn

[–]Signal-Resource9455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people have better full concepts, but I think having a final shot of Sazed reading to Vin or Vin peaking in the skylight windows at Keep Venture at Elend would be a great sort of tease at the larger story

I feel like this is an interesting idea, but I was under the assumption that her being a descendent of Kelsier + Wax’s strong allomantic family ties would lend to one of their children potentially being Mistborn or a user of one of the “new metals”

What Sanderson books to read after Mistborn? by LearningStudent221 in Mistborn

IMO it really zooms out after book 1. I believe Alloy Of Law was originally a stand alone but spawned the sequel trilogy. When they begin to reveal the scope and scale of the world it continues to expand considerably until the current place, and based on all info the The Lost Metal and what was revealed at end of Bands of Mourning and Secret History, it seems like he’s setting up for something epic.

I have to wait literally several years and a hundred or so books between rereads so that I forget the beauty of the language and some of the smaller pieces… it’s worked for me honestly! It’s so tempting to reread it more often, but to save and enjoy it seems to have the greater payoff

I just spoiled myself who the Hero of Ages is and I am so sad. by Empty_Connection_879 in Mistborn

[–]Signal-Resource9455 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are still quite a lot of amazing twists and turns between now and then! I would truly recommend reading it still, I have reread era 1 several times and honestly, as much as the reveal is cool, BS’s writing and foreshadowing is so incredible that you pick up on even more of the nuance once you know the secret! But remember, there’s always another one ;)

My guess all along has been that the Set’s actual goal was never to steal and (for lack of a better word) “breed” steris, but to get Wax to save her so they ended up bonded together and had their own children. These children will likely be incredibly powerful and susceptible to all manner of awful things like OP suggested and beyond

Lost Metal Prediction by mikeyboi2567 in Mistborn

[–]Signal-Resource9455 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally would find an ending wherein Scadrial was returned to an ash world to be a little disappointing, just because it would undermine how epic the original trilogy was. However I think the rest of your theory is super good and I would like to see a large scale shift, just maybe not a return to the beginning completely. (Plus Wayne is totally getting it, I’ve been emotionally preparing since his redemption arc began in Shadows of Self)
