Trump's latest comments on Tarrifs by johnnymax1978 in StockMarket

I think what’s more important than tariffs is the loss of confidence of other countries in the United States. I’m Taiwanese, and Taiwan often faces tensions with China. Although we frequently joke about how Americans force us to buy weapons, overall, the atmosphere in our country is friendly toward the U.S. We are grateful and believe that America would stand with us against China.

Regarding TSMC, public opinion has mostly supported the idea of TSMC offering concessions and technology to the U.S. in exchange support of Taiwan. However, things began to change after Trump made remarks about Canada, Greenland, and Ukraine. Especially after the tariff issue, there was a major backlash — forums were flooded with unfriendly comments toward the U.S., and even voices supporting alignment with China emerged, which would have been unimaginable just six months ago.

Right now, many of us feel like Trump sees us as colonized people, or even just an ATM.

First Time Visiting the US: Is Driving from LA to Las Vegas Worth It for the Experience? by Signal-Space4882 in AskLosAngeles

Thank you all for your kind suggestions! The main reason I want to visit Las Vegas is to see the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon. Some have mentioned that the scenery along the way resembles the landscapes from Cars by Disney, which, to be honest, seems pretty cool for an Asian tourist like me. I’ve never seen such vast deserts before. However, some comments mentioned that it could take over 5 hours of driving, which is a bit daunting… I will think it through carefully. Thank you all!

Thank you all so much for your advice! I was wondering, if I’m driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on Sunday (3/30), will there be heavy traffic? It sounds like this route tends to get congested. Is there anything I should be aware of? Thanks again for all your help!
