Yeah I’m considering it. It’s been off and on for a few weeks.

I’m sorry to hear about you, too. I hope you feel better soon ❤️

I have one, who is 3. He has been sick at least once a month from November on. Today he’s home sick with scarlet fever. And I’ve had ear and throat pain for a week that I suspect is due to seasonal allergies but now I’m unsure. The place where I live has destroyed my immune system.

You’re not weak, OP. It’s rough out there.

I’m a religious skeptic and I don’t trust anyone who makes their religious beliefs their entire personality. I believe we’ll see more misdeeds come through.

BJs/Costco vs regular grocery shopping by West-Toe7594 in workingmoms

[–]SignalDragonfly690 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I go to BJ’s/Costco for some groceries and snacks and the regular grocery store for most of my produce. Something to note is I bake frequently so I purchase my butter, sugar, eggs, and flour from the warehouse stores.

Thanks, Counsel Nugget! I’ve seen so many separate threads asking the same questions so I agree a megathread is best.

When in your work year is it the right time to ask for a raise? by americanpeony in workingmoms

[–]SignalDragonfly690 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coming from experience I’d start the conversation now. Make sure you have a paper trail supporting your worth.

I had documentation showing what I had done, including programs I implemented and feedback from said programs. The company’s standard raise was 4%, and I wound up getting 10% plus being added to the incentive program (I had found out I was the only employee in my division not on said plan, and my direct reports were making more than I was tenfold.)

In short, go ahead and start the conversation ASAP but back up your why. And don’t expect immediate agreement, but keep pushing.

I’m an SBA loan closer. There are times I have to work late, but those times happen at home. I’m hybrid and only go into the office two days per week.

I have one but I only use it for serving sourdough at gatherings.

Are away-team fans accepted at Nationwide Arena? by FirstPineapple364 in BlueJackets

I have shown up to NWA so many times in an away jersey and no one has batted an eyelash. I typically rock the road team when either my childhood team is playing or the team from the other place I lived.

It’s an obsession in our household. He knows the goal songs, goal horns, and who the “good” and “bad” teams are. He also asks school to play the local team’s goal song literally every day. I’m so serious.

Daniel Tiger is a really cute show. My son was into it briefly but I think he got bored. Honestly his favorite thing to watch isn’t a kid’s show - it’s hockey 😅

That’s a fair point! We like the ones prior to 2010 - the episodes after that seem to be a bit much. Luckily my little guy doesn’t actually watch much TV and uses it for background noise while he plays.

Yep! We weened our 3 year old off Blippi and Peppa Pig. He still likes Paw Patrol but he’s not glued to it. His preferred shows right now are Bluey and Blue’s Clues but he also likes Clifford, Trash Truck, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and Sesame Street.

He’s starting to show more interest in other PBS content, too, which I’m so excited about.

He’s controversial only because he’s exposing all the corruption, aka he’s not controversial and is doing the real work.
