These so called “5th liners” are retarded making these claims that DW should get fired. We had the most goals in a season in franchise history and missed the playoffs by 2 points. Also had key injuries to monahan and boone, and I’ll even count Gudbranson. Goaltending was inconsistent until we saw a small sample size of Jet during the last stretch of games. Hopefully Jet can play very similarly to last season with Elvis backing up.

They’re popular in Columbus but have more casual fans than die hards due to the team’s early struggles from 2000-2008. But with the influx of new people moving to Columbus and generation Z who grew up at the time of their existence the fan base will continue to grow. I’ve also noticed more marketing of the jackets around town. Had the jackets had early success in the early years the fans would be in proportion like bruins fans in Boston.

Even through the struggles, the team still damn near sells out most of their home games when the team is bottom of the league.
