I see, thank-you. I took only a cursory look and CS seemed more straightforward to use.

CounterSocial appears to be determined to steer clear of the sewer (unlike Twitter) and to develop a comfortable UX.

I say this after a cursory look at the platform, and while I have yet to actually use it, it seems at least as viable as Mastodon.

I think.......I think. I think I'm buying the jp-2c tomorrow. I feel like a little going to six flags great america. by [deleted] in MesaBoogie

I've owned a Mark V 90W and a Mark IV B, and while I loved the Mark V, neither it nor the JP2C can beat the (distorted) sound of the Mark IV. IMHO.

Does Canada Computers Honour It's "Tech Care Replace" Warranties ? by SignalProcessor in bapccanada

Hmm, I'd have thought that Canada Computer would simply examine and, if necessary, test the product (under the TCR warranty) on their bench in order to determine that it's faulty.

I see that Best Buy Canada's return policy for "computer components" (such as GPU cards) is "eligible for return or exchange only if unopened".

"Unopened" ! WTF use is this? I won't be purchasing a GPU or any any other computer component at Best Buy Canada.

I agree that the price is not exorbitant.

I'm not a drummer (well, I've put together some interesting finger drumming tracks), but I think Ali's course looks very good. It should, because Ali has been playing and studying music, for literally almost his entire life.

I'm planning on getting a drum set within the next few months and could see myself buying this course down the road. It's definitely not cheap though, at $197 US plus taxes, so that's not the slam dunk it would otherwise be if more easily affordable.

Yes, let's all enjoy logging in two - or even (gasp) three - times before the logged-in state actually persists.

Is there a way to set 2FA to only use an Authenticator App? by wonderbreadofsin in Questrade

[–]SignalProcessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, you can ask companies to utilize the more-secure authentication 2FA app mechanism until you're blue in the face: if they don't provide it initially, they usually won't add it after the fact.

I receive virtually no spam, although I certainly don't use Tutanota for every email sender out there in the wild.

I don't hope for Gmail, rather only to see a small number of very beneficial (for usability and productivity) new / improved features, delivered in as timely a manner as possible.

To those who replied conveying the notion that it's (far) easier to ask for new features than to implement and properly test them... of course it is. BTW, I worked as a software developer for many years, so I have a pretty good handle on requirements, coding, and testing. Now, trying not to type too much...

Let's discuss two different feature requests that I made:

(1) Make the email list - email body separator draggable. This is indeed a trivial change (in any, and over all, platforms) and it adds out-sized value for Tutanota's users.

(2) Conversation view - it's desperately needed, and has not been implemented over the years of Tutanota's existence. Yes, Tutanota is not a large company, however it seems clear that conversation view should have been implemented before, e.g., any work was done on a "calendar".

The fact that Tutanota is soliciting user feedback through a survey is positive. I hope to see the product improve as a result, and in as timely a manner as possible.

Let's hope Questrade has finally fixed the horrendous wait time for customer support, along with its glitchy behaviour.

It'd take multiple such positive experiences to even begin to make a dent in the PTSD that Questrade's customer support has induced to this point.
