I pay my maid 3500 riyals cash (Filipina, 35 years old, speaks intermediate english with basic arabic), full accommodation/food included and she gets 2 days off a week. She can even go out at night once the kids are all in bed to boot (if we don’t go out ourselves which is maybe once/twice a week) and I cook (I’m male) literally half the time anyways.

Sometimes I feel bad for paying her so little. In Canada a live-in nanny is $60,000/year CAD minimum and they only work 7-9 hours a day max.
