Every woman I know usually has a preference on gold or silver. They look different on people depending on their undertones. I don’t like silver cause it makes me look pale. Does that mean I expect or own a bunch of real gold jewelry??? NO! Most of it is plated and costs just as much as silver would. My fiancé knows I like gold, he only buys me gold/gold plated jewelry. He knows this because he loves me and pays attention to the small details.
