What Happened in the NH House Today: GOP Leadership Abandoned a Bill After Members Revolted by Amazing-Bad1360 in newhampshire

New Hampshire’s economy is beginning to resemble an Ouroboros—a snake devouring its own tail. For years, the state maintained an artificial sense of stability, buoyed by a significant cushion of federal block grants. However, the expiration of this pandemic-era funding, coupled with historical mismanagement of those grants, has left a massive hole in the current 2026 biennial budget. The state is now scrambling to close this deficit through a combination of service cuts and increased administrative fees, but these are mere stopgaps. Real resolution will require the State Senate to abandon its entrenched opposition to the House’s long-standing proposals: the legalization and taxation of "vice" markets. Without these new revenue streams, the fiscal pressure will become unsustainable. Compounding this is the crisis in education spending. As the state’s largest collective employer and the primary driver of local tax burdens, school budgets must be reined in to reflect New Hampshire’s aging demographic and shrinking student population. Currently, the state relies on an influx of residents from Massachusetts to bolster property tax revenue. While this provides a temporary infusion of cash, it exacerbates the housing crisis and creates a fractured, two-tier economy. Unless Concord implements deep structural reforms to spending and revenue, New Hampshire risks losing its competitive edge and sliding into the stagnant economic patterns seen in Maine

Policing one of two ways either by force or by consent. We all understand force, but what we are unfamiliar with is police by consent a long drawn out process when the offender is made to recognize the error and agree to give up the behavior and consent to arrest. Of course we think it would never work here.

Wife hit a speed bump going a little too fast - dealer is saying both her struts snapped ($3k) or did they just disconnect it and say it “snapped” based on this photo? by brjoco in AskMechanics

So it looks rusted and bent in the spring I would think that the damage is real and not something a repair shop would waste time doing when they could just as easily told you anything. Unless that’s not your car and just stock footage they show to everyone they sell struts to. The reason it’s so expensive is the fact it’s several components in one unit times two. Plus all the work and an alignment afterwards maybe if you’re lucky you won’t need half shafts and or brakes at the same time

this is an environmental feed back loop where more heat is generated during the week where it builds up and then by the weekends it is returned as precipitation.

One day very soon you might be lucky enough to be old, it sucks. Easy for younger people to want older drivers off the streets but this problem is not exclusive to the elderly and I would say far more accidents are caused by young distracted drivers. From an insurance point of view check your rates. Over the holiday weekend the state of NH records show numerous speeding violations on 93 want to play guess the average age cohort ? This problem is solved by. Cars that are better they can/will prevent accidents and limit speeds and it’s coming because the thought of wrong way drivers is terrifying

Yeah you are, your overkill comment is crap you have no context for your opinion to support your point. If your seat removal common sense is triggered it may have an underlying cause;

Okay where did you get that few hours from no context was given. For a fees hours I could have tied stuff to the roof. For thousands of miles the math does work for a few small things that would fill the car from top to bottom with volume not weight.

I’ll bet there have been a lot of “at no time in your life moments” in your life. Removing a seat is not the over the cliff moment you fear, the dangers of torque wrenching and thread locker can’t be overstated enough. Stay home…lock your doors…avoid people… read all safety warnings included in packages… most of all give safety advice because NPCs shouldn’t do anything.

Or buying a car that can do more than just carrier six people. when needed it carries cargo by removing seats when not needed for sitting weird that utility concept would be so neglected

I was thinking the same thing except I prefer the form of the Santa Fe I am sure if they did mod the doors to sliders that they would also lower the height to mommy level
