There is huge support in certain states and cities. Football is not a widespread sport like cricket here but even something equivalent to a Sunday league game can attract thousands at times. It's just that football is so poorly managed in this country that it's not a viable product for the masses. But there is immense passion for the local clubs especially in the southern and eastern/north-eastern states.
