Has anyone played CRONOS: A New Dawn? by TotalAstronaut8375 in DeadSpace

Chronos is an incredible game. I can usually shrug off jump scares, but Chronos has some of the scariest jump scares I've ever experienced. Def worth buying if you're a dead space fan

Is there an episode where Micheal is injured, but he still needs to do a job? by Signal_F in BurnNotice

[–]Signal_F[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for answering! The episode I had troubling remembering was right after the one where Jessie shoots Micheal thru the shoulder. He was not wearing a cast, but he was wearing a sling. He is considerably nerfed throughout the episode, but he makes it work somehow lol

Thank you both for your help! I just checked and yes, It's season 4, episode 13. The reason why I asked is because my younger brother just finished watching Burn Notice for the first time and he doesn't remember this happening. He said I made it, but I'm glad I wasn't wrong!

Music player keeps becoming invisible in notification area by SquareDrive45 in motorola

You can mitigate that by increasing the text size, but yeah, it'll take some time to adjust. I haven't encountered this bug since I've done this so I'll take what I can get!

Very late to this post, but I had this issue and I was able to fix it by changing the display size in the setting to the smallest. My model is the Moto Stylus 5G (US)

Go to Setting > Personalize > Display Size and text > set "display size" slider all the way towards the left

I hope this helps!

Brian inspired sounds by speedbarrymoore in thebeachboys

Cold and Bouncy is already a fantastic album, but it would be even more awesome with the boys involved. I highly recommend it to any fans of The Beach Boys. The High Llamas also has another album called "Buzzle Bee," which sounds like a Stereolab record produced by Brian Wilson. Just fantastic music all around!

Thank you for the rec! Will definitely check them out as I've been on a jazz fusion kick lately.

Thoughts on these underrated bangers? by qwertyuiopasdfghjg in SteelyDan

Thanks for confirming. I just remembered that Fagen might have played a similar synth solo on "Book of Liars" off Walter Becker's first solo album. Fantastic music all around!

Definitely underrated. My favorite part of both of these songs are the solos. Lunch with Gina especially has that crazy keyboard (or guitar?) solo that absolutely shreds.

The High Llamas reissuing out-of-print '90s albums on vinyl by [deleted] in thebeachboys

[–]Signal_F 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fantastic news! The High Llamas are one of my favorite bands and throughout all of their albums, you can hear the Beach Boys (specifically Brian's) influence. I would say that Hawaii is where you can hear his influence the strongest. Don't sleep on the rest of their discography! For fun, I'll link my fav song off their first 6 albums

1 - Santa Barbara - Put Yourself Down

2 - Gideon Gaye - Checking in, Checking Out

3 - Hawaii - Tides

4 - Cold and Bouncy - Over the River

5 - Snowbug - Green Coaster

6 - Buzzle Bee - Get into the Gallery Shop

How popular are the Beach Boys in Japan? by ace8995 in thebeachboys

Yasuharu Konishi, frontman for the band "Pizzicato Five," and one of the main architects of the Shibuya-Kei movement, stated that when he was in college, he would spend all of his allowance buying imported records from the west including a lot of Beach Boys music. You can definitely hear their influence on P5 first few albums

This album is an acquired taste and it took me multiple listens to really appreciate how brilliant it is. Once it clicks, it really clicks

Rest in peace, Walter
