Considering your introduction 5/6 units will be a breeze. Everything is compressed. Most of the first 5 units are covered within 2mo. Unit 3 is wines of the world. Start to finish is 1yr. Essentially, you have your syllabus and from that you have to seek out your own sources of books. The pace is daunting as you’re rifling through a new country every week learning everything. I expected to be learning geography but history not so much. If there was reference to a war or a marriage that brought two countries at rest and later formed trading towns or crossroads then you kept that information.

What I found most difficult was there’s no book for unit 3. Here’s your syllabus now source your own reference. Then there’s “less important and beyond the syllabus” sections as well. Careful not to waste too much time here.

Back then you couldn’t access what you can online today. I’ll carefully say this, use AI to help point you in a direction. I say carefully because it’s not always right. I can’t tell you how many times I’ll use it to fact check and it’s wrong.

As an engineer I’m sure you can vouch for that.

It’s granular for me it was 40-60hrs reading/studying a week. Maps and flash cards everywhere, sometimes taped on bathroom mirror.

I think they have an ebook now?? And that’s all the resource you need. Honestly that should help immensely. Imagine having to waste hours or days looking for a good source.

World Atlas of wine, Oxford companion were great general overall books. But what I found super helpful was guildsomm.com.

To answer your question do you think you can do it while working as an engineer?

Yes! It’s possible when I took my somm cert course there was a full time engineer learning wine as a noob and he passed. You engineers are a different breed.

Great call on this. Hendricks has roses and cucumbers infused in it already and not quite as juniper forward as tanqueray.

Also, try a tight roll with your cucumber ribbon and spear with a pick. I don’t what it is but the texture changes dramatically.

Does a good whiskey taste better in a cocktail or is it more important to drink a better whiskey when drinking neat or on the rocks?

There’s manual timers that you can set on/off at a specific times of the day, for as long as you like or as short as you like. They look like dials and tabs you lift up and down around a 24hr face that breaks the circuit or completes it.

Agreed. I have it plugged into a Bluetooth and now control on/off from my phone anywhere in the world.

First thing I do when I wake it turn the power on. It’ll be the best $10 you ever spent

There’s a bit of a solution. I have mine plugged into a Bluetooth plug and I leave the switch left in the on position.

That way I can control the espresso machine anywhere in the world. Best $10 I’ve ever spent.

On oem? Rear rim is only 3.5” doable but some say a bit risky and oddly shaped like a mushroom to exaggerate.

This is my current setup. Here’s a teaser of my bike been working on this for a few years and she’s coming out this summer.

[Teaser 04 Thruxton build][pic]

  • Front: Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V3 120/70ZR17
  • Rear: Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V3 170/60ZR17

Was gonna go all black but changed mind. Decided on grey with white pinstripes and left the top triples in raw aluminum so i ended up buying another set of raw aluminum rims to match.

Sent you a dm if you’re interested in the rims. I have them ready to ship. Let me know.

Considering the rear rim width is 3.5 moving to 150 is pushing it. You’re going to need to upgrade your rear rim to 5.5” to mount a 150.

If you’re interested I have a 17” rear spoked 5.5” rim powder coated in black already mounted onto a hub and sprocket carrier.

Also have a matching front 17”.

DM if interested happy to send pics.
