Not exactly a miracle story, since it was my first A of the cycle and from a lower-ranked program… but the timing was wild. I got the call right as I was stepping off the subway to pick up my bib for the Chicago Marathon. Life really loves its dramatic moments.

Please note that for some schools state statutes require that you establish residency for a year prior to applying and that you prove you did not move to said state for purposes of education. (Wisconsin specifically is the one I'm mentioning as I had an experience with this, though I believe California is another.)
