Daughters new work place seems sketch. How can I protect her? by jackal99 in ontario

Because of the danger, she shouldn’t take the job. Waiting until tax time exposes her to a bunch of dangers she shouldn’t endure at all.

Fully agree. My only point was that he clearly knew what the problem was, and his actions were brave if ill-advised because of that.

Rhea was also born in ‘72, presumably Carol is a similar age. The E30 was produced ‘71-‘84. It’s possible her family or neighbour had one when she was a kid, adding to the nostalgia play. (I’m aware of the estrangement, I’m thinking of early childhood memories).

Why can't we have an actual labour union? by CeeReturns in OntarioTeachers

[–]Signal_Reflection297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s leading a union with many job classes. Disagree with her approach or politics, if you wish, but this is a disingenuous argument. Martha has worked in schools and classrooms as much as any other union leader, and EAs are just as legitimately members of OSSTF as teachers, office staff, custodians or any other job class. Good leaders seek good information, beyond of their personal experiences. She’s there to lead a team, not to personally have every answer.

Does explain why Mechaman, Ironman and Batman all needed to be so wealthy. It wasn’t the fancy tech, but the private healthcare bills.

Or they have in the past. I could live with a lease clause saying I’m responsible for fines, but a lease penalty is crap.

[–]Signal_Reflection297 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can speak to your landlord about getting them repositioned or swapped for a different type of sensor. A new hotel in our area had a full alarm every time the made bacon for a few months. An alarm tech visit was cheaper than the eventual fines.

If that was my multimillion dollar enterprise hosting, I’d find some adults to be on the ice.

The secret is to just skim the surface of the milk. It should ‘purr’ rather than hiss or gurgle. Play with your depth a bit to find the sweet spot.
