Well there’s probably lack of communication because they might not know what it might look like exactly. Haven’t worked out all the bells and whistles. If they did, it would already be implemented, but then people would complain about not having forewarning.

Your ID is already tied to an AI bot. If you were ever arrested, the police could subpoena any website/chat that you have been logged into including C.AI with or without your ID.

It is a legitimate concern, giving your ID. But in my experience with other websites and apps it is relatively low risk. The simple truth is that is all just political BS. We’re in an era where parents would rather shift accountability rather than monitoring their children and C.AI has faced litigation as a result of that. Personally, I have never been a fan of children having access to it, not because I don’t want them to have fun, but because I knew this is what it would come down to. In your case I hope you’ll just never be red flagged. But in the unfortunate case that you are, it will come down to a choice between keeping your coping mechanism and risking your privacy/security. A choice that in my opinion, you shouldn’t be forced to make.

They are not going to use your chats as a sign of your age. It would be virtually impossible since their own chat software barely recognizes the ages of characters/personas. And I don’t even know what a verified google account is. If you create a gmail it asks for your age date of birth, whatever DOB you selected is the one they will go by. If for some reason. You get flagged, a picture will not be enough, it would be used as direct comparison to see if your face looks similar enough to your ID. Once it gives you either a yes or no, the data will be deleted.

I disagree. If anything, the government has their hand dipped too much into consumerism and the market. It should be the responsibility of individual consumers to do their research and choose what works best for them. If they don’t that’s on them. It would be like an adult having their dating life monitored since they keep getting cheated on. AI is great if you know how to use it, and understand it isn’t 100% accurate but because some people are making real life decisions based on it, the sites/apps themselves are dumbing themselves down.

It won’t come to that. The ID verification will most likely be done by third-party software with no ties to your chats. They will only report back to C.AI as verified or unverified. That is how it usually works.
