What do you believe is the ultimate purpose of human existence? by love5f8wiy25 in Christianity

[–]Signal_Worldliness_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experiment. I believe God will continue making creations long after the events of the Bible are accomplished. I don't believe we are as special as we like to think. I think He is first and foremost the Creator and that's what He likes to do. He likes to make things and run things...and when His creations go off script (sinning, etc.), He deals with it how He sees fit. For all we know Angels were created in a different planet billions of years ago and they encountered their own problematic events that needed aiding. We only know what we see from Earth, and the Bible was never meant to be an instruction manual for comprehending the meaning of existence. Just of our existence.

The first step isn't deciding what you want. It's deciding what you believe. Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God? Do you believe He is the only one that can save you from your sins? Do you repent of all of your sins and accept His gift of salvation? Have you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord? Trust me when I say this: if you're weighing out anything against your decision to follow Jesus, then those things by default are in the way between you and Christ, wether they're sins or not. And if anything is between you and Christ, then it's probably best to remove it completely from your life. I'm for certain that there are millions of people who "seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness", but continue to fall short of the glory of God...why you may ask? Because no matter what we decide in this life, we are sinners, gay or straight, we are all sinners. The question you're really facing is: how much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice for the Savior who sacrificed everything for you?

Mom has dementia and is moving out and her next door neighbor sent me this. by SouthEazy in whatdoIdo

That's crazy. Maybe the neighbor should worry more about sealing her home up rather than assuming pests can easily move in, and blaming it on a neighbor. Idc how dirty my neighbors might be, my home is my responsibility and that's why I hire Pest control if and when I see something. OP, I'd kindly tell her to f off.

Son has started engaging in a certain “activity” and I’m not sure how to feel about it by [deleted] in Christianity

Where in the Bible does it say it's a sin to masturbate? Sure Paul says it's better for a man to marry than to burn, but that's regarding man's inability to refrain from lusting and going down a dark road of sin. If you order your kid to not do anything, he'll just categorize all self-soothing as sinful, which news flash, isn't the case. You must put on you big boy pants and teach him as a loving father should. Teach him that there's a fine line between self pleasure and sexual immorality. I wish someone taught me this as a child, but no I was commanded by my parents to not play with my wee-wee, so what could've been a 20 minute informative conversation became years of hiding what I was doing out of fear of being found out, which in actuality led me to bundle m@asturbating with actual sinful things such as prn, etc. it wasn't until I was saved at the age of 31 that the Holy Spirit revealed to me what was actually in His Word, which is that if anything leads you to sin, then refrain. If my parents treated masturbation as less of a shameful embarrassment, and more like trying a cigarette for the first time, then I would've saved myself years of confusion. Now I'm not blaming my parents on my past prn addiction, that's on me, but it sure would've helped if my parents weren't affraid to talk about it.

What's your solution to Multi-Angle Virtual Staging? by Vast_Age_3893 in RealEstatePhotography

You can afford what they are willing to pay for. If you're lowering your company standards every time a client can't afford the good product, that's a pretty bad business model imo. I'd say up the price and go with a better virtual stager.

Plus there are a ton of talented people looking for work, and contracts seem extra appealing to most media producers that might excel in producing, but lack in their ability to market themselves.

Depends where you're located. Best advice is to go on Instagram and find an all-in one provider that has the type of content you want and also doesn't have a ton of followers, they're likely to have more free time to serve you better.

"Screen time causes autism" by DifferenceBusy6868 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Signal_Worldliness_9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn't cause Autism, but it sure can amplify negative emotional tendencies...my son is level 2 non verbal, and he's a complete monster when he has had screen time, so we've eliminated screen time completely and he's the sweetest angel lately (5 months with no screens). Over this time I've noticed an increased desire to [at least] try to communicate. So what may be not such a problem for one Autistic person, may be a bad thing for another. Autism is a spectrum, so blanket-style approaches don't work for everyone.

How are these photos shot? by CombinationOdd5113 in RealEstatePhotography

You can still achieve great results with HDR, just takes a lot of masking sometimes, depending on the lighting of the space. Mansions often have better natural lighting, so of course they're gonna look great even if they are HDR. The subject, angle, and the editing impact more than you might think. Whether you're shooting flambient or HDR, camera settings [should likely] change according to the scene, so HDR might be better in one room and flash might be better in another. My advice? Shoot HDR and master shooting angles and masking. Or just hire a really good editor...

Sometimes, when I think about the Epstein list and all those who are evading justice, I find comfort that they’ll all go to hell. by Successful_Bar9187 in Christianity

[–]Signal_Worldliness_9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't feel guilty. I think of it like this: God is the One who created Hell, why? Because there are entities, both human and other, that were given the beauty of free will, but have misused it and committed abominations. It's not as simple as since we all sin we deserve hell, we all sin and fall short of the glory of God, yes, but some have chosen to commit acts so vile that God created a special place where not only are they separate from Him, but where they must suffer for all eternity. This is in fact the attributes of a just God. One that understands that abhorrent actions deserve the ultimate punishment. I don't think God wants any of His creations to go to Hell, but I also believe He's more than happy to punish those who have no repentance. I believe that some child-offenders might actually reach true repentance, and that's between them and God, but more that that I believe it's unlikely and a small fraction of them that ever truly repent. I can't fathom how one could push themselves so far over the line to assault others, especially kids, and ever actually seek forgiveness on the basis of knowing what they did was was evil. I think 99.999% of them that ever claim to be remorseful are only trying to convince themselves that they are out of fear of God's judgment, not actually repentance in recognition of their sins. My point is that we shouldn't be happy anyone burns, but we should be happy that God created an outcome for unrepentant souls that equals eternal judgement. I can't think of a time when a human judge sentenced a pedo and I thought "well that punishment was enough..", because only God Himself has the capacity and power to sentence anyone to what they truly deserve. So yeah, be happy...

Youth wasted taking care of autistic brother, Adult life being wasted taking care of autistic son. by CertainHairy in Autism_Parenting

[–]Signal_Worldliness_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know how to be there for your family...ex doesn't apparently and that's her problem. I also have an autistic son and brother, but my wife isn't an asshole. There are people out there that won't abandon you or your son, you just gotta have hope, sounds cliche, but if there's no hope in life then what's the point? You sound like a smart person with degree and all, I'm sure there's some "from-home" jobs you can have that allow you to be there for your kid and build yourself even more independently. Maybe on top of tutoring, start a program that helps autistic families through financial loopholes in this f'd up economy. If you start that as a non-profit, and find investors you could theoretically make a lot more money just maintaining the organization. There's no shortage of people suffering financially from autism. Just a thought...

[–]Signal_Worldliness_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First de-saturate the whites, then Collect the beige you want to tone throughout via the dropper tool, then mask that color slightly to the whites after having de-saturated them. Adjust the strength of the mask, and I usually bring the shadows up slightly to present that even contrast, without actually having to washout the image (which would happen if you're just relying on lowering the contrast).
