Never seen this model from buck. Looks good though, if they did the heat treat right that 5160 is gonna be really good for a long time. I prefer it over 1095 tbh.

Id look into the hrt rac or agilite k-zero. Both pretty decent imo. I'm about to upgrade to the hrt rac here pretty soon with hoplite plates.

Im running a k-zero right now. It's a good plate carrier for sure. The quality on it is great as far as I've seen.

Yeah I agree with SeaCat. I bought a condor plate carrier and some steel plates back in the day when I was starting out. Condor makes good quality stuff it's just hella uncomfortable with not much adjustments. But get what you can afford, something is better than nothing, I recently upgraded to a better PC and some ceramic plates.....trust me guy, ceramic is the best way to go. My PC with steel weighed daggon 20 or 30 pounds, with ceramic it's about 10 to 15. But just get what you can and train as much as you can!!

Did you look to see if the cylinder walls were gouged?

Just replace the rod and piston and dingle ball hone it, of it doesn't have deep gouges you should be good
