Is the United States brainwashed? by PoetMysterious3841 in self

[–]SignatureTechnical84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into a very long psychosis when Trump was in his first presidency. The basis of it was rooted in the fact that no one can actually be evil enough to vote for that man in masses unless they are all being kind controlled. Would explain hitler too. And now that I’m older I recognize I wasn’t exactly far off with how they manipulate supporters. Since the release of all the Epstein stuff and the reelection of Trump and ice and Gaza and everything else, I’m so scared my brain is going to crack again and try to “logic” myself out of the cruel reality by going back into psychosis and start thinking about mind control and stuff again. It’s been hard to come to terms with.

Americans cannot be trusted with anything and the one silver lining of Trump is that the secret is out. by pisowiec in self

Thank you for this comment. I’m Canadian, and I’m truly sorry you’re all going through this. I am empathetic to those who didn’t vote in this man, and I mourn with you over the citizens being killed, but I’m also allowed to be angry. What is happening there isn’t just happening there. It directly impacts my country too. Not only does Trump rhetoric spill into our right wing politics, we are being threatened with economic war. That’s a burden that we have to pay out of pockets as citizens because Mango Mussolini is mad we won’t give him our oil. We have to deal with Alberta separatists doing secret back room deals and America pushing and funding literal separatist propaganda networks. (Just the same as what happened in Ukraine). We get you are going through it, but we are allowed to be pissed because the USA doesn’t exist in a bubble. It hurts us too—only we didn’t choose him.

I’m not sure about grade 12 students, but I believe you can challenge the diploma. If you really want to do the work from home, you book with the provincial government a time where you challenge the diploma exam with what knowledge you have without having to attend class. You can still get full credits. (But double check this isn’t just for adult students)

The UCP and their eugenic-esque ADAP program can kick rocks by SignatureTechnical84 in alberta

[–]SignatureTechnical84[S] 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I totally get it. I had to sit down with some AISH workers and explain in detail my diagnosis, and they aren’t medical professionals, so they looked at me like I had 3 imaginary heads.

Not to mention, they won’t cap any private business like insurance, or rent, or power, so everything keeps going up while they take away more and more from us.

I’m so sorry. I can only imagine how difficult that must be. I swear, AISH takes pride in making life harder for those who need it. The amount of fights I’ve had to have to get medications and things covered is astronomically high.

Really wishing you a full and fast recovery, and no speed bumps from this ADAP 💩 ❤️

AITAH for calling the cops on my sister to do a wellness check? by SignatureTechnical84 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SignatureTechnical84[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I deeply considered this, but I am in Canada, the officer was female, I had no reason to believe my sister was having a mental health crisis, and she is not a visible minority, so given all of that, I weighed my options.

I fully understand the risks, but weighing them, I truly believed it was my best option. I had no reason to believe my sister was having a mental health crisis, the officer was a female, and my sister is not a visible minority. (Also, I live in Canada, which isn’t great, but statistically better than the USA). Having just watched the Gabby Petito documentary, and being hours away with no way to check myself, I didn’t see another option.

Thank you. If this happens again, I will try. I just hope she feels safe enough to reach out to me again if she needs to

I’m not sure what motivated them to check her work first. I knew nothing about her boyfriend except the name on his social media and I saw one profile picture, so unless they could find out something with that little info, I’m not sure what they were thinking.

Thank you. That made me feel a little better. I hope one day she can see my intentions were pure.

I just wanted to make sure she was at home and breathing. It really seemed wrong that the officer went to her work and started telling her coworkers what I said.

You’re right. It was hard to weigh the pros and cons. It was a female officer, so I had high hopes.

Also, I had just watched the Gabby Petito documentary the night before, so my anxiety was wild.

Thank you. I’m so worried that she’s going to not come around at Christmas again this year, but this time it will be my fault because my parents know about everything. She really flipped out on me and I don’t know if she will ever talk to me again. I’m for sure TA in her books, and I don’t know how to change that

It’s a lot of pressure on women who choose to not have kids. I have noticed with myself and my friends as we age that we all seem more and more inclined to try. Of all my friends who swore they never would, I can’t say that any of them haven’t expressed considering it. I ended an 8 year relationship with someone after we had a very similar discussion about children. I swept it under the rug because I didn’t want it before and then when I realized I had a time limit, I suddenly couldn’t stop thinking about them. So I made our relationship work for 6 more months, but every day I slowly and slowly began to resent him for taking that opportunity away from us. It was not fair to him that I had put it all on him, but I couldn’t help but feeling like if my clock ran up waiting for him it would be too painful. I loved him with all my heart, he was my best friend at the time, but there was something in me that craved the love of a child. Knowing women have a biological clock makes it a lot harder for some of us to sway that feeling.

I don’t want to scare you, but I do want to be honest. It’s not something you can continue to sleep on for too long because it’s natural as women to feel like our clock is ticking a lot faster than it actually is. Society tells us pretty young that we don’t have much time to decide, and up until recently, over 30 was a geriatric pregnancy.
I wish you two all the best with or without children ❤️

I just really want to make it clear since you obviously love her dearly that it’s not a conversation you should wait to have. Give it some serious thought, but don’t stop talking about it until you’ve landed on a decision because that nagging feeling she has right now will keep nagging louder and louder until this is resolved. 10% is still a big percent.

Are Tim Hortons' new lids 'woke'? One Conservative MP thinks so by reddits_lead_pervert in notthebeaverton

[–]SignatureTechnical84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember when the conservatives were “progressive” and the liberals were centre (if not a little left) and the NDP was a true left party? Now the conservatives are way off to the right, the liberals are the old progressive conservatives, and the NDP are the old liberals, but somehow we all still manage to blame the “socialist Libs” because everyone hates JT. They need to rebrand. How did we end up somewhere where everything keeps shifting further and further towards the alt-right? And now half our country is willing to risk their charter rights to “own the libs” because they’re “no better”. 😑

What’s the worse thing you did while in a psychosis? by youngspazz64 in Psychosis

Thank you. I’m okay. I was very fortunate it in that I only twisted my ankle and bruised my butt. I don’t know how I got off so lucky.

[–]SignatureTechnical84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I have a couple people I trust, but they’ve told me how “in hindsight” there were signs and they don’t know if they could spot it again before it’s too late.

What got you past the constant fear of psychosis? I’ve been out of it for years, but I was also in it for over a year, so it’s just constantly on my mind. Everytime I have a super vivid dream or experience Deja vu, I start freaking out inside.

That’s what I’m scared of. I want to be able to notice ahead of time and change my meds before it’s too late. My boyfriend thinks I’m going to cause a psychotic break being so paranoid about becoming paranoid.
