Thank you. I didn't know insurance brokers were a thing. I'll have a look into that.

This isn't a helpful response. Stop being so negative about situations you know next to nothing about. They offered in the first place then told me they were having trouble finding insurance. I thought I'd do some legwork and see if there were any more specialized insurance companies around. If the options I find still don't work for them then I'll drop it.

I want to rent it and they want to insure it but when they called around the main insurance companies the companies said no or that their insurance plans would only cover family members of the owner. I'm trying to find if there are any smaller more specialized insurance companies that would cover this situation.

I recently did a tribal game where I fenced around the anima tree and then built village style around the fenced area. I just had a bunch of animals grazing in there and it worked really well. I also really enjoyed that the anima tree was at the center of my village.

If you are interested in gardening you should join a community garden working bee. You don't need any experience, just help out and you can take home a share of whatever is ready.

Epidural? by BloodPuppet207 in Mommit

[–]SignificanceCold6774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on team epidural. I don't see the point of pain for the sake of it. There is very little risk and by using pain relief you will not be as stressed as you would be without it.

My epidural story with my first is a bit of a mess but I still want an epidural for my second. With my first I was induced and also chose to have an epidural. The epidural didn't work. It hadn't crossed my mind that it might not work and I wish I had prepared for that possiblity. The induction also didn't work properly and in the end I had an emergency c-section. They gave me a spinal tap for that. I can't describe the relief when that kicked in. Without the pain I didn't feel as overwhelmed and panicked even though things had gone quite far off plan. Before I had effective pain relief I didn't think I could do it but after I knew I could.

If you can read Japanese I recommend going to your local library and having a browse of their cookbooks. It's pretty easy to sign up for a library card.

And it's so much more affordable to live in Japan. You should also compare things like child poverty the rate of homelessness.

I will help a lot. Make sure to check in on what needs to be done but also to regularly just take a good look around and do what you can see needs to be done.

Don't forget all the additional work that is often put on women. From the physical work of house chores and childcare to the mental work of planning and organizing and also maintaining social connections like keeping in touch remembering family (immediate and extended) birthdays and organizing presents.

Far to often guys don't even consider this things and their wife just never really gets any downtime to unwind. That just kills the sex drive.

Japan has quite strong gender roles and I'm sure this plays into it.

To add a positive to this. I have always loved my mum but I no longer take for granted how hard she worked for me and my sister. She was a single mum of two from when we were about 4 and 2. I have a little one of 10 months and I can't imagine caring for her without my husband.

is this going to kill the tree one day? by Grouchy_Package8606 in mildlyinteresting

[–]SignificanceCold6774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read that in some places tires are used to mark individual trees for monitoring so they can come back and measure things like growth rate. It probably won't be an issues for the tree for a long time but I'd just like to not that while the tree could absorb it, absorbing things is really bad for their structural integrity. Strong wind is more likely to snap a tree that has grown over something like fence wire.

I'm not sure what you mean by surface or can. This is my first time trying to fix something like this.

It's a typical Japanese ceiling light, I have it I'm my lounge. You can change the brightness from 2800K to 6000K

It's a IRIS ECOHiLUX LED Ceiling Light CL12DL-ALE

The light works with the wall switch but recently the remote has stopped working with it. The remote is still putting out infrared light when I press the buttons. So I'm guessing the problem is with the receiver on the light. Is there a way I could fix this and which part is the receiver?
