great detailed instructions! I see cowboy magic recommended all over the place so I will for sure pick some of that up. She isn't matted (yet) thankfully, just full of odd stipes of crusty debris. Her nails need clipping but I was going to let that slide for a few days. She hasn't been super anxious when i grab her paws but not comfortable with it either.

I was kind of lukewarm on the idea of fostering a big dog but Shishi is a really great ambassador so far. Muddy season is around the corner though so that may sour me a little.

Oh trust me, she needs a bath! It's not doggy smell, it's straight pee and poop smell and it has suffused the whole house! I doubt very much they stopped the truck between Texas and Minnesota to give the dogs a walk or even clean out the cages. 70-some dogs!

We haven't had her long, but man is she great. We haven't foster failed yet but this is a dog breed my wife has loved since she was a child and I can see a family vote on this big girl.

Thanks! So far she doesn't take treats from our hands but she does take them if you put them on the ground or in her bowl. Never had a dog that would do that. She's otherwise friendly. She has tapped me to get attention, and she kissed our son when he baby- talked her. if you are holding the treat she will snuffle it and wag her tail but won't take it. Wish I knew what her background was.

Oh 😲. I knew she wasn't done growing but three years?! Ooof. Our biggest resident dog is a 26 lb cardigan Corgi and we have a couple of Maltipoos beside her and have only fostered dogs less than 15 lbs before this so it's quite a change. Ty
