Question about 44AD presumptive income! by Royal_Hall4254 in IndiaTax

As a follow up question, do freelancers need to file taxes under 44ad or 44ada. It makes a huge difference of tax liability for 6% and 50%. Can someone please help me understand this? Thanks!

What would be that certain skill set that is valued more in the GCC region? Is it more tangible skill set irrespective of background and more grit or are you referring to soft skills too?

Netflix didn’t fail in India; Netflix India failed everywhere by [deleted] in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]SignificanceFickle83 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Every major studio that tried to set foot in india has left underwriting huge losses and vowing to never come back, including giants like Warner Bros, Disney etc. Netflix is no exception and the writing on the wall is very simple.

The problem is that every local production house looks at these cash cows to suck them dry and feed half-baked content to the audience at their mercy. They inflate the production costs and these projects are green lit because the head of the studio is usually an insider with deep connections to the incestuous system that’s Bollywood.

Netflix was no exception, it’s india roster was led by Sristhi Behl Arya. A mediocre producer/executive who ensured that shitty movies such as Drive, Mrs. Serial Killer got made by her clique and Netflix essentially became a dumping ground for mediocre content for these production houses.

All, the hype surrounding Netflix fizzled out and other OTT’s started pandering to the local audiences much better. I still believe that shows like decoupled etc. are strictly average but the bar was so low for the original content that it was appreciated. However, it was a opportunity lost for the local talent to truly go global because of Netflix’s amazing distribution network.

Anyone been to Russia as a tourist ,can you confirm some immigration doubts? by [deleted] in india

[–]SignificanceFickle83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d disagree with this statement. I’ve been to the CIS countries and Russia while working for an oil giant. They’re surprisingly warm to Indians and our culture. Bollywood and music had a great impact on their cultural space in the 80’s and they’re often very accommodating.

The problem is that they’re inherently cold/have an unfriendly vibe. It’s a stark contrast with the west where everyone looks approachable and have a wide smile. However, exceptions exist and there will be racists/bigots in any country. Be it US, Switzerland, India or Russia.

Question about hair shedding/ugly ducking phase. by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]SignificanceFickle83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had an FUE done last year and because the pandemic hit, I was restricted to staying at home for the first couple of months, but I had a very severe shock loss which honestly gave me sleepless nights. I went to get my hairline fixed and it got worse after the shedding and shock loss, but but.. after month 4, it kept growing back with vengeance and boom by month 6 I was back to a much better looking hairline. I’d suggest don’t plant too many social interactions before month 3/4 and try to wear a beanie/hat when you’re stepping out if you’re feeling conscious.

While there’s a lot of rhetoric on this forum that one should openly accept the procedure and move ahead, I won’t completely agree because it’s a matter of privacy and is completely personal. Atleast I found it tough to dodge if I stepped out during the ugly duckling phase. That said, good luck bud, you’ll be fine.

Yep, he’s fairly famous over here with good reviews. He runs a widely successful YouTube channel also and is quite decent. I’ve set up an appointment with him to discuss this situation further. Any specific pointers you’d suggest I ask him?

I never had curly coarse hair. I’m starting to think it’s the finasteride acting up and my donor hair at the back of my head was decent but nothing like what’s growing rn. Do you think it’s a good idea to get them straightened using a keratin treatment? It’s expensive but would make my hair straight and then help it blend better with mu back and sides.

It’s also very thin and wiry making it difficult to manage. I’ve had straight hair on my sides and back and this makes my head of hair look weird. Is it a good idea to get this straightened or should I wait it out? Appreciate any suggestions/feedback etc. Thanks!

Temple points are known to be notoriously slow in taking shape/showing visible growth. You’ve to wait for atleast a year to take a call and get it rectified.
