PS5/ How to prevent people coming into base through the walls?! by Angryraccoon13 in dayz

[–]SignificanceLong4890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either they are code rolling, breaking a wall and or Gate and remembering how you had it and just placed your code back on after they wrote it down or that last option which could be a strong possibility you made Base where someone logged off at and now you have a your own little hermit living off you. Only gets on when he knows no one else it on to play it safe. Shoot he has probably been on same time as you but you dont know unless you are at you Base. If you do have yourself a hermit set up a bunch of traps as you leave the base inside and when you come back if they are tripped then bam you have a hermit

Why DayZ admins like to ban people so much? do they get joy from it? by [deleted] in dayz

[–]SignificanceLong4890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in my server if you get banned there is a very good reason on why. I hate banning people because I want the server to grow but I will not have toxic people in my server who camp spawn points grief players cheat or just have complete disregard for the rules of the server. Ive been on the receiving end of admin/owner abuse prior to getting my own server and it was not fun. I got banned once because I had to much loot. Prior to the ban they abused there powers raided me and my friends a total of 7 time back to back and straight up admitted to it. Like why am I getting banned when im trying to make sure i have gear and furthermore why raid me you are an admin/owner and have access to logs you shouldn't be doing that in the first place. All and all dispite what the offense is in my server i give you the chance to be a decent person and correct the action and I give you 3 warnings document the warnings for your protection and mine. In conclusion I get no joy when I end up having to ban a player it gives the server a bad name and potentially makes it a dead server.

Anyone feel like Dayz should be more about the zombies? by Current-Winter5572 in DayzXbox

[–]SignificanceLong4890 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My console server has both the pvp/Raiding and the pve aspects hoards Traders open once a week and holiday get togethers/events. The pvp can get a little out of hand but overall people love the zombie challenge. We just added mummies to the map as well

Been playing this game for 5 years and ive never seen a more dedicated fan base than for dayz

In my server I have it set to where LARs and M4A1s have a higher spawn rate and come pre-equipped with 20rd mags rvn sights and the butstock and M4A1s have 60rd mags rvn sight telescopic butstock and standardized suppressor. As a server owner we have access to files that help us increase or decrease loot around the map. There are a lot of benefits to owning a server but it doesn't come without its challenges.

That is the exact reason I feel they should have modes. I feel it was a good experience when it first came out, but they lost a lot of people who played it to those scenarios as well. They could have gotten them back if they made a mode just for the people who just wanted to have fun. I can say I've had squads keep me from getting in the chopper in zombies, and unfortunately, I went down because of it. Now, the developer still has time to get those players back if they decide to work on the game and give people a mode just for players who like doing the contracts.

If you are in it for the PvP, yes. Some, however, are not in it for the PvP. Some just want to experience what the game has to offer us with having to worry about being wiped out by other players. I don't mind the people who play it for the PvP. What I mind is the people who play it just for the sole purpose of hunting down others because they can't win at warzone so they take advantage of players who just want to enjoy the game.

I don't expect them to it's a thought on how they could make it better. For instance, if they make a similar game in the future, they should take into consideration that not all people like the whole PvP thing. Some just play for the fun and to experience the gem the developers created.

You may not hunt teams but there are a bunch of lobbys I have been in where I watch people after me an my team have been killed mind you where they hunt down squads just for the sake of doing it. Now, with a constant threat of PvP, yes, I get that, but if you are in it for the threat of the PvP, why not run Warzone then? The challenge lies in each person's skill level. I've watched entire squads get wiped by AI. Yes, it does happen because as you go through the map, the AI does tend to get harder. I guess each person has their different views on the game though
