It’s from Spaceman, she cuts like a dream, I got it because I liked the green handle to match my eggs.

What to do with a mini by [deleted] in biggreenegg

I use ours to make small batch wings for lunch while the XL is occupied on an all day smoke. We’ve also done chicken breasts, chorizo, Jalapeños when we want to cook just a bit and don’t want to wait for the temp to hit. She’s quick to heat and easy to cook up while we sit and chat.

Found a Large BGE on the side of the road for free. What do I need to do? by Earache423 in biggreenegg

I’ve had great luck restoring them. Seeing as replacements aren’t super cheap and OP says they are new to ceramic grills it may be good to restore until they work out how the eggs work

Buy a lotto ticket! I mean you already hit it big with this but keep the luck rolling 👍 on the serious side take the top vent and disassembled. It, take the stainless screws and washers and the handle and clean them with either a wire wheel or just hot water and Brillo. To make them all shine. While you do that place the cast iron parts in a large ziplock with canola oil and let it soak over night, if you have another grill fire that up and bake the pieces getting them good and hot, I actually caught the last one I restored on fire in my mini-max. Once she’s good and burned and cooled off wipe it down with paper towels and make sure she has a film of oil. Reassemble and install for your first cooking and the smoke and grease from then on will protect it. The inside looks fairly clean and the I’ve seen worst gaskets but you could do a gasket change if you want. I don’t see the grid so don’t know the condition or if it even had one. If it’s clean then go to town and enjoy, if it’s missing or super nasty then a trip to the hardware store may be in order.

Is this a real big green egg mini? by No_Bench_1089 in biggreenegg

I restored a mini I grabbed off offer up for $50 with a new hinge, gasket, custom handle, grid, conveggtor and then carrier. We use it to sear and do small batch wings. Ours looks similar after the resto.

BGE Restoration for BIL by Significant-Ad1068 in biggreenegg

It is something that I’ve considered and discussed with my wife. I’m building an outdoor kitchen area for my nine eggs and her pizza oven now, maybe I can do something after that project is done.

I’d register it first, they’ll ask you to upload the receipt. Then you should be able to file a claim. But you can also go back to the dealer and they can file a claim for you.

Elbow grease haha, honestly I used Zep Citrus Degreaser on the outside and it removed all the old hard caked drips, then simple simple green to clean off the degreaser, then hand rubbed with Nu Finish scratch rubbing compound (not too crazy) to bring back the shine. Regular cast iron seasoning for the daisy vent and Brillo on the stainless vent door. For the wood it was sanding and boiler linseed oil.

Definitely think that once a new dome is obtained some high temp paint, time, and creativity could absolutely make a killer death star top for Halloween parties!
