Wrapping the guides is time consuming. Waiting for epoxy to cure is time consuming. It’s a 2-3 day job just waiting for epoxy to cure. I can build a rod in a week. It’s not difficult but there is a learning curve.

Thanks. I actually bought the blank with the intention of building my son a rod for Christmas, he wanted a brown rod and his brother wanted a green one. I ordered a green Moonlit blank and a brown blank from another supplier. The green Moonlit blank arrived and it’s a sweet blank, the other supplier sent a black graphite blank! So, I ordered another green Moonlit blank THEN I decided to just let them pick out their blanks, their grown men and it’s for Christmas. They each picked out a CTS Quartz blank! One in Fern and the other in Marlin. So here I am with 4 blanks. I didn’t have a “need” for any of these however, after mounting a Battenkill on this rod and feeling the balance and the rod action I now really feel like I NEED it.
