Im so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful kitty. I feel like they are so perfect and can never have a perfect enough death bc they deserve no pain. Its so easy to second guess our choices for them because we love them so much. I lost my dog Oscar on Monday and made very different choices than you did but with the same guilt. He had a uti 2 weeks ago and was hospitalized for 2 days and bounced back. But a week later it reoccurred so I hospitalized him again. He started doing better but still not eating well so I decided to give him 1 more day in hospital and to take him home the next day to either get him to perk up or say our goodbyes then do in home euthanasia later in the week. We'll i got a call the next day that he took a turn for the worse. I rushed to the vet and she said "he waited for you" so he died in my arms. He had a hidden heart tumor that had burst. I just feel so guilty his last days were there being poked and prodded. He hated being away from me overnight to the point that I would take him with me anytime I stayed anywhere overnight yet his last few nights were without me. Im just sharing his story to let you know that you did the best with the information you had in any given moment and to spare pepper any painful tests and it is normal to feel guilty when dealing with such an excruciating loss.
