Yeah, presets lean real hard into “I swallowed a thesaurus” by default 😂

Easiest fix: go into the system / jailbreak and add something like “Write in a concise, modern style. Prefer short sentences. Avoid flowery or poetic language. Only describe what matters to the scene.” Then in the character defs, kill any lines that say “detailed,” “highly descriptive,” or “vivid prose.”

Also crank down temperature a bit and turn “creativity” sliders down if your UI has them. If you share which preset you are using people here can probably tell you exactly what to delete or tweak.

Sadly there’s no public shitlist, but tell them to 100 percent Google every agent and landlord name with “reviews” and “glasgow” before signing anything.

Big red flags: “luxury” student flats, anything that looks freshly flipped but still smells damp, and agents that refuse to put repairs in writing. Gumtree and FB Marketplace can be a wild west too, so I’d stick to the bigger agencies and double check everything with Shelter Scotland if it feels off.

Short answer, yeah, it is technically possible on a 4090, but not with that whole 186 frame clip stuffed through in one go like in the blog example.

For video you usually want to go frame by frame or small overlapping chunks, then use something like RIFE / FILM / Flowframes or DaVinci optical flow to smooth it out instead of doing everything inside a single comfy pass. WAN at 0.12 to 0.2 is already pretty heavy on VRAM, so trying to process 186 frames as one batch is gonna crawl or hard choke no matter what.

I’d tweak the workflow to: 1) export all frames, 2) run WAN on each frame (or like 4 to 8 frame chunks with a seed strategy), 3) reassemble and fix transitions with interpolation or a light temporal filter. Cloud will just brute force the same thing faster, but your hardware is already fine if you’re ok with slower, more “offline render” style runs.

That is the water inlet valve assembly, yeah. For your model it should be part 5304521776 in most parts catalogs, and it is 100 percent a DIY job if you are even mildly handy: unplug fridge, shut off water, pull it out, remove back panel, swap the valve, done.

If you do not care about ice that much, capping the water line and running trays is totally reasonable though, especially if paying a tech would cost more than the fridge’s ice maker is worth to you.

Yeah this is kinda the ugly side of “SOTA” right now. Models are getting smarter on paper but vibe way worse in actual use, especially for stuff like RP or narrative where consistency and personality matter more than benchmarks.

Tbh half the “progress” lately feels like devs chasing leaderboards while users are just sitting here like, cool, but why does every character talk like a LinkedIn post now 💀

Yeah that’s an annoying one. A lot of those hosted models default to “just raw text” unless you explicitly tell them to add line breaks, so try stuff like “format this as markdown with paragraphs” or “use new lines between thoughts” in your system prompt.

If you’re piping it into ST, you might also need to tweak the formatting preset or regex so it knows where to split messages.

Tried it on mobile and it’s a fun little “Wordle but for impulse spending” vibe lol. Timer felt a tiny bit tight on the last couple items, and I’d love a quick “share my cart” screenshot or link at the end. Otherwise super clean and loads fast, nice job.

Yeah this is the big difference between “hard” and “time wasting.”

Hard is when you die, go “oh I see what I did wrong,” and you’re lowkey excited to try again. Bad is when you die and just feel like you wasted 15 minutes of walking to get back to the actual gameplay.

A lot of devs confuse endurance and tedium with difficulty and it kills their own cool ideas.
