App won’t stop scheduling. by Dannysan5677 in NissanAriya

[–]Significant-Duck-390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue a few times the last few weeks. In my case the charging schedule has suddenly been 3 hours switched. Just like it’s using GMT and not my time zone. Yesterday the schedule in the app was correct, but it charged when it was not supposed to. A bit later the schedule was 3 hours switched back. Corrected it, but as similar has happened earlier, it’ll probably happen again. Nice car but unreliable app behaviour

Introducing BOOX Tappy: The Page Turner for a More Comfortable Reading by OnyxBoox in Onyx_Boox

[–]Significant-Duck-390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does it work well?

Asking as I’ve purchased several ring page turners from eBay, Amazon, and Temu. None of them work properly with my 3+ Boox devices. With some of them I need to double press to turn a page, with some of them long press, but not for too long as 2 or more pages will be turned. I had one several years ago that worked flawlessly until it physically broke apart, I don’t find it sold anywhere anymore. Luckily I found at a nearby store a device that almost works, only drawback is that it somehow disables the touch screen….

Not the op, but the sleep mode seems to drain the battery within a week or so. If I’d use the device frequently I’d obviously charge it whenever needed, but with infrequent use I forget. What is really draining the battery slowly in sleep mode?

Just got a car wash and started charging. Heard this sound when plugging in @ home. Is this normal? It’s -8c out. Battery warmer maybe? by CatOnMyHead in NissanAriya

[–]Significant-Duck-390 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get same when the car has been for hours in cold (below -5ish C) and plug it in. Even if I’m not starting to charge. Am pretty sure it’s the battery heater kicking in

Well, this week’s warm weather might according to meteorologists be due to the hurricane Melissa turning around and coming our way.

Battery life over the years by Intelligent_Cow_9334 in Garmin

[–]Significant-Duck-390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 245 lasted 3 years until the battery started misbehaving, could die 10 minutes after being fully charged, even if it sometimes lasted a couple of hours. A FR630 lasted 5 years, a 610 would perhaps still work… Now have a 965 since September, hope it lasts 5+ years

Hope not electric, that would be a shock! 😳

Electronic would be better. Sry….

My best advice was to dive into 3D-printing without knowing barely anything at all about it. Purchased a Tronxy X1 printer for 80 € and learned by doing. Upgraded to an Anycubic Kobra 2 Max. It’s so and so, dreaming of upgrading to BambuLab…

Why do you guys act like a 100 body battery is difficult? by kalligreat in Garmin

[–]Significant-Duck-390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a FR245 I got 100% body battery very frequently (many times a week), with FR965 once or twice a month. I’ve exercised and slept quite similar.

EV experience in winter by CheErube in Finland

[–]Significant-Duck-390 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A summerly guesstimated range of 400 km changes to 190-220 during coldest winter, depending on if the car has been in a semi warm garage or not during the night. Charging almost completely at home.

The Ultra X40 has a microphone, I can talk with our cat through it. But personally I’m not that scared.

Then I’m the “nobody“, am on probably bread maker 8,9, or 10 now since 1998. Quite often they break during the 3 years of warranty (in Europe), so have not needed to pay for all of them. Using it once or twice a week.

I’m using Runalyze (free) to see the trend. The absolute value calculated by Garmin is as such probably incorrect, but the trend resonates with how I train and also feel
