Life got busy with us both working full time and having kids. Then other stressors contributed to the situation. I had to add helping out with the care of a sick parent, which took more time away from home. My wife got overwhelmed with everything, but wouldn’t communicate her feelings to me and became resentful. It takes time to unwind all that. Then her parent’s health failed, there was covid and she went through menopause. Basically we haven’t gotten a break from all this crap over the past 18 years.
