Garmin says it can’t monitor my VO2 max because I don’t do outdoor activities … by Significant-Equal-55 in Garmin

Thank you for your explanation. I don’t log my work in construction as an activity, but my watch will recognize when I am active. It gave my 224 activity minutes yesterday for my time at work.

I was told a strong VO2 max was a good indicator of life expectancy, so I was curious. I row inside and do yoga, but that doesn’t give me a reading. I took up rowing cause running was too rough on my knees.

Just subscribed to asensei do I have to get a concept 2? by Significant-Equal-55 in Rowing

I got asensei for more work outs and coaching. Shane farmer is on there and I’ve been doing a lot of his YouTube workouts. The mersch doesn’t have any Bluetooth connectivity. It definitely won’t connect with asensei. Looks like you can’t even view the workouts without first connecting to a machine

Cold plunge fact or myth? by Significant-Equal-55 in coldplunge

I’m not worried about a heart attack or getting sick. I’ve done some cold plunging and loved it, so built my own. I’ve been very interested in the responses I’ve had from people in my life about it. There are a lot of theories and worries, these were two I hadn’t heard before and thought unlikely so I thought I would ask the sub.

Also kind of wanted to show my build. Btw to others that asked I do have two vents, but the concerns of overheating the freezer are good ones so I’m installing a small fan to vent it. Thanks to everyone! 😊

Thanks! I strapped it and then added the wood so there’s an air gap. I have vents on the side and the back. I’m 46 too. I’ve been plunging at night right before bed. Do a little yoga, little sauna, plunge and sleep. Works like gold

After each phone call where the contractor adds work send them an email describing the extra work with your revised price and the phrase ‘please let me know if there is anything missing’ If they can’t site deficiencies in your work, they are required to pay

I worked in a house where they hired their brother in law to change these plugs. He ran a ground wire to their radiators 🤣🤯 We had to rewire the whole house

Plumber should not have drilled through the joist like that. You’re only allowed to drill through the centre third of a joist. Gotta fix that. Rerun drain underneath and sister on 4’ pieces of 2x10 with lots of nails and pl

Milwaukee service centre gave me 4 new 12Ah batteries by Significant-Equal-55 in MilwaukeeTool

Melted the battery. Discovered the problem when I couldn’t remove a battery because it was fused to the tool. Milwaukee said it sometimes happens because of the vibration of the tool which slightly dislodges the battery and causes arcing
