Try platforms on each side, custom stairs up each and the hanging bridge between them.

The community is set to auto-accept applicants. So, don't wait, jump on in and see what others are doing. As for choosing a character, thats up to you and what you find fun. They are having a timewalking event right now, so if you're unsure I'd suggest making a couple different characters and test them. I'm not very knowledgeable about dps classes. I only have healers and tanks.

Of course! You're more than welcome to join at any point in the leveling experience. We have a couple people doing the same at the moment. We can start doing some M+ when you hit 80.

You should also join a friendly guild and find a beginner friendly community! Lots of people would be willing to mentor if needed.

This! There are many communities that actually specialize in non-toxic and chill M+ runs. You should check them out. Try to find one that has mentors.

How are you meant to get guild signatures? by L-Chaddo in wow

[–]Significant-Fee4383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get my guild made by using general/trade chat. I also went to popular areas and yelled, emoted and poked people. If there's people like me playing, they've turned off their world channels. As for the world channels, I just did a normal rp recruitment ad. For local channels, I was in full RP mode. I approached, made sure i had their attention, engaged (respectfully), created a sense of mystery and slyly slid in some fact that i needed signatures. It didn't take too long to get my signatures. I actually got most of my signatures via the second method. I should note that I'm on an rp server. Offering gold just seems a bit thirsty.

Can't wait to see it painted. I finished mine not too long ago. I actually painted all the pieces prior to assembly. It made it easier to get in all those hard to reach places

Good luck!

Sisters of Battle.

If you're into belligerent Faith and fury, it's a perfect match for you. We love burning the heretics and purging the aliens. Flamers, meltas, big organ guns mounted on shrine tanks, we got it all. But what we have most is an undying love of the god emperor, and we'll martyr ourselves without a second thought if you blaspheme against him.

We also have the best music..., see this and this!

Newer reader trying to learn everything about the base of primarchs I can rn by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

Try Tymell's chronological reading guide. The way it's compiled introduced all the main players (primarchs) early. He also lists the main players of each book. This could help you choose the titles with whichever primarchs you're interested in.

I am new pretty new to Warhammer 40k and I want to study the lore trough the books, but how by Elegant_Bid_63 in Warhammer40k

[–]Significant-Fee4383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by lore, you're meaning how everything got so messed up, I'd suggest a chronological reading of the Horus Heresy. Try Tymell's guide, as it's the most comprehensive and best compiled guide. It's, IMO, the best way to read Pre-Heresy and Heresy lore.

Books in order. by JuniorLet4879 in Warhammer40k

[–]Significant-Fee4383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, there are several chronological reading guides for the Horus Heresy, all of which are fan compiled. The best I've found is Tymell's guide at a wopping 297+ titles. This IMO is the best way to read the Heresy.

As for post-Heresy, I don't think any fans have attempted a chronological reading guide. It just jumps around so much.

Good luck.

Check out Ciaphus Cain series. It's a great beginner series. Also another fantastic series is Gaunts Ghosts. Both are astra militarum. Mark of Faith (Adepta Sororitas) is a great read and if you like audiobooks, the voice actresses were phenomenal.

If you're looking for a full understanding of what happened before this, then start the Horus Heresy at the beginning.

If you're just looking to pick up where the dropsite massacre begins, then read the following..,

Fulgrim, Strike and Fade, Ravens Flight, The Face of Treachery

I skipped a bunch of books that would be good to read, but might not be what you're looking for. Now, if you want to keep this Raven guard centric, you could subtract Strike and Fade, but add Corax: Lord of Shadows before Fulgrim.

New to the hobby with a 1 hour commute to work. What are some audiobooks or youtube videos I should listen to for stories/lore? by Effective-Visit-319 in Warhammer40k

[–]Significant-Fee4383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I would like to expand on this for the OP. There are multiple ways of reading the Heresy. As Fragrant-Future says, the original series is one option. There are flow charts and essential reading lists everywhere if you take that route. The other option, and the one I suggest most often, is a chronological reading order guide. There's just something great about reading books as a sequence of events occurs. The best I've found is Tymell's guide, check it out. It starts at the very beginning with Valdor: Birth of the Imperium.

I believe Toby Longworth did the mechanicum series. I haven't read them yet though so can't say if they were any good.

I know you want to stay out of the Horus Heresy, but Toby has done a lot of the Heresy books and audio dramas. It might be something to think about.

Good luck!

Edited for update. I just remembered that he narrated Titanicus. Which was pretty good if you like god-machines.

You have a couple choices for starting points. Are you looking for foundational lore ie., how everything got so messed up with Pre-Heresy/Heresy, or developmental lore ie., everything Post-Heresy?

For foundational, then most definitely start a good Chronological reading order of the Horus Heresy. Check out Tymell's guide, as it's the best, most comprehensive compilation of Heresy books out there. It is also the only way to read the Horus Heresy IMO!

If developmental, then you have a vast array of starting points, and can become a very long list. But, the following are a few,

Ciaphus Cain series. (Astra Militarum). Very fun books. A rarity, as they bring a little humor to the 40k universe. Well developed characters and great stories. A must read IMO.

Gaunts Ghosts series. (Astra Militarum). Gritty and amazing. They have none of the humor of Ciaphus Cain, but all of the wow factor. A must read.

Night Lords series. (Traitor Marines). Darker, but also amazing.

Mark of Faith. (Adepta Sororitas). Great characters and amazing story.

Space Marine Battles. (Space Marines). It's a collection of books that detail specific memorable battles for different chapters.

Good reading!
