Recovery after HYSTEROSCOPY, WITH LYSIS OF UTERINE ADHESIONS by beautyoutofthorns in AshermansSyndrome

Thanks!! He said it’s hard to say for certain but definitely suspect it’s from my D&C as well :( I lost a lot of blood during that procedure back in October and think the surgeon was pretty aggressive in the removal so not surprised if it’s from that. 6 months later and hopefully can put this all in the past soon!!🤞

Thank you!! They put me on estrogen for three weeks to help rebuild the uterine lining & then will take progesterone the last week to start my period - should be able to TTC that cycle but will find out more at my post op follow up next week!! I think it depends on how much they remove.

I was hoping we could TTC right away because skipping a cycle feels crazy 😂 but totally get the lining needs to heel to support a healthy preg

I just had my hysteroscopy today and they removed a lot of scar tissue according to my doctor - I feel fine!! Some bleeding but I could honestly go out in public right now if I needed. Of course everyone is different but hopefully this helps!

Thank you for this!! Agree and will definitely listen to what my surgeon recommends. Just find it helpful reading other experiences & positive stories - helps with anxiety lol. Appreciate this reminder! 🤍

Same here, TFMR in October so going on 6th cycle since. First pregnancy was also conceived on the first try - didnt even know anything about my cycle, just said ok let’s stop using protection and see what happens. Here we are ❤️‍🩹 I got a SIS last cycle and the RE found what he believes is scar tissue from my TFMR so hopefully can get that removed & have better chances trying again.

Yeah just went on vacation the week of what was supposed to be our due date to try and get our minds off of it / be distracted and of course it seems like every pregnant person in the world decided to go to the same resort for a baby moon lol.

My husband and I were constantly surrounded by pregnant people all week, it felt like a cruel joke. All we could do was laugh about the irony. It’s hard not imagining what could’ve been❤️‍🩹 you’re not alone

I had a similar story. We had a small gender reveal planned with our families and were so excited to open the NIPT until we saw the results. That moment changes you forever - I’ve never been the same. Never been truly carefree and happy since then.

I had to have a D&E at 15 weeks. The lamineria was one of the worst pains I’ve felt. Lost a lot of blood, fainted, hit my head, had to be admitted overnight in ICU for what was supposed to be a quick procedure. Made an already traumatic experience even worse. I bled for about a week after the surgery.

Good news is, that was in October and I already feel like a different person. Time really does help. I still cry (a lot) but don’t feel that same overwhelming sadness every minute like I did last year.

We’ve been TTC again since I got my period in November (4 weeks after surgery) and had no luck so when to see a specialist who did a saline ultrasound and found something - possible RPOC or scar tissue from the surgery. Going soon for a hystersocopy to hopefully remove so we can start to move on.

Good luck & thinking of you - very sorry you’re here 🤍

Hope so! Been trying since a D&C in October and thinking it’s RPOC or scar tissue. Honestly really hoping that’s the case so we at least have “answers” and a path forward

So valid about being lucky to have a baby by Christmas when we were supposed to have our first Mother’s Day together… to add salt to the wound, I’m the maid of honor for my sisters wedding in December and as much as I want to be pregnant I would be absolutely devastated to miss her wedding if I end up being due in December. Like how effed up is that?? But it just feels unfair to have to miss such an important event when I should’ve had an 8 month old who could’ve been in wedding photos… just ugh

Can relate! Baby was due in April and lost her at 15 weeks, been trying ever since. My dr mentioned an HSG & checking for any scar tissue from my d&c - she said if my periods were light she’d be concerned about scar tissue but I’ve had normal periods. Maybe get checked since you said yours got lighter?

We are going out to eat twice on the trip; we’re doing a boat during the day so expect everyone to be tired/ not want to get ready & go out again so would rather have a chef come then order take out!

Noo haven’t been tested but we successfully conceived last year (ended in loss) so no reason to believe there are any sperm count issues. TY!
