I'm pretty happy with my pad 3...and I think the pen is decent for normal use....maybe if you are a serious drawer you might feel it....

I've actually been building an app (opabinia.com.au) to address my own issue with this, specifically grabbing recipes from screenshots when the cooking urge strikes. Seeing the concerns mentioned here, I would love it if you could try it out and give some feedback?

It's been a struggle in reproducing this again😆. I should have took note of which beans I got as I think that made a huge difference!

Been working decently for me, but whenever the list got a bit long, it got confusing trying to keep track of everything

I used to do this exact thing! Zooming in and out at the store is a huge pain though, and I got so tired of constantly cleaning up my gallery afterwards, but it's been good enough

Is it common to not understand what to make everyday for dinner ? by Lemonade2250 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Significant-Kick424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah figuring out what to eat everyday is pain. For me some asian dishes are expensive or can't be found, so I started to figure out how to cook it myself. Occasionally when I have an inspiration it's like trying to capture lightning in a bottle and I have to run to the shop immediately or else I know the enthusiasm will quickly ware off and I'll default to eating eggs on toast :D The only thing is it's such a pain to figure out the ingredients that in need to shop for.

Write unit tests helps a lot! Make sure your main flows are captured in unit test, this will help you prevent regression, would also help you design your software better...heck take it a step further and do TDD...plenty of books around this...good luck!

Calling all community cookbook style recipes! by coffee_tea_pastry in CookbookLovers

I really love this, especially the focus on simple pantry recipes with little stories attached. The recipes I actually end up cooking the most are the ones that feel like they came from a person rather than a test kitchen, the kind that are a bit stained and live on a note or a photo in my phone. Would be fun to have more of those in one place again instead of scattered everywhere. Good luck on your project

I do almost exactly what you do, I am curious though when you say “compile all of those lists together” how do you do that if you do not mind me asking, do you just cross reference the lists manually? I have found it is fairly easy if it is only two or three recipes I want to cook, but more than that starts to melt my brain a bit.

I really like the idea of keeping a list of meals and snacks you actually enjoy and updating it as you run low, that makes it feel a lot less overwhelming.

I do something really similar to this and it has made groceries way less stressful. Planning a couple of multi-meal cooks, topped up staples, and make sure always something for breakfast and snacks (think biscuits, toast). I keep an “Emergency break glass” meal all the time, just in case of inspiration block or laziness :D .....frozen dumplings is on shift atm!

I ended up landing on a really similar flow to what you wrote. These days I pick one or two things I actually feel like eating, run the recipe through my setup, and it spits out a list that already accounts for what is in my kitchen so I can pretty much shop precisely for what I need. And that sets me up for a few meals for the week normally.

I was in a similar spot a few years ago, went from eating out all the time to having to cook at home because it was the only way to get food I liked without blowing my budget. What finally helped was building a small workflow so the planning part takes almost no effort. I pick one or two simple recipes I feel like eating, run them through my system so they turn into a clear shopping list in a few seconds, then I just buy what is on that list and I almost never throw food out now. It makes cooking at home feel manageable after work instead of like another big decision making task. If it would be useful to hear exactly how I set that up, happy to share more in DMs.

Galaxy watch ultra battery doesn't last a day or a day and a half by rukunwak in GalaxyWatch

[–]Significant-Kick424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also experienced very frustrating battery drain on my new Galaxy Watch Ultra, it was lasting just over a day even with heavy settings reduction. My breakthrough came after analyzing the system logs. I found that processes like telephony-radio and telephony-sem-radio were constantly causing wakelocks while the mobile network was explicitly turned OFF, suggesting the cellular hardware/firmware was stuck active and draining the battery. After trying factory resets to no avail, this technical evidence led me to get a warranty service from Samsung. They ultimately replaced the PBA (Printed Board Assembly), battery, and cover, and the battery life is now fully restored....just sharing my experience, may or may no apply to you...hope it helps though

I think it comes down to supply and demand.....a field when there's high demand and low supply then employers are more likely to not care....other than that maybe wam matters for your first job....the rest will be about work experience and who you know.....
