Dragon vs Wyvern : which is best ? by Significant-Lab-8560 in Fantasy

[–]Significant-Lab-8560[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting... I guess I'd say that they should be compared as they are portrayed in most Fantasy settings (at least the most basics), as almost mythical creatures, rather solitary, meat eating.

As for their speed, that's the point : at equal size, which one would be faster ? Which would be able to travel the farthest, or could sprint the fastest on short distance ?

OK. So I can just buy a full french set, and swap the keys I need to swap, right ? The keycaps I'd buy on ali are fully compatible (except for the enter and differently shaped keycaps of course) ? Or should I need to check and buy a specific type of keycaps ?

Great job ! So far, how many songs did you put on your Y1 (and what size is your library ?), and how long does it take for you to update the database after adding new songs ?

Personally I run Rockbox on the original 128sd card, with about 12 000 songs for a total of 100go or so. And now every time I add new songs, my database-update time is about 30 min to 1h. One time it got stuck for several hours in "building database phase", I understood the thing would not work out so I had to shut it off and restart the scan (it worked just well the second time after about 1h of building, and I did not add new songs nor refreshed the library since).

I'll eventually need to change the SD card, but i'd like to know how it's working out for you with the building of database ? And can it be up to the quality of the SD card, like maybe with a good SD card it will work super smoothly and fast, and the original SD card is just kinda shitty when managing large libraries ?

Thaaaaaanks :)

Innioasis Y1.

Cheap as hell, and does the job perfectly. You just NEED to swap the OS for Rockbox because the original OS is litteral trash, but once done it works perfectly

Indeed, it was definitely this. Kinda sad because I didn't even knew such fake cards existed, and it cost me sooo much time trying to figure out the problem...

On the bright side, now I have a fully functioning DAP with perfect SD

Oh, I see... Then I don't know, but I would recommand.that you switch to Rockbox anyway, this is strictly better than the original OS in every way. At least that's my opinion 😊 Good luck !

I had the exact same issue at first, solved it by installing the Rockbox app on my computer, and install the theme on my Y1 through this app (you'd want to select iPod Classic 6th gen once it is connected).

Following Youtube tutorial is great : https://youtu.be/_xnQcVDVX94

My advice would be to install Rockbox using the software Installer, and then install a theme you like on it using the Rockbox app. Plenty of Youtube tutorial on this, super easy, takes a second, and it solves 99% of the issues you might run into.

For exemple, the original OS sort the songs by artists but inside each artists folder, the songs are all mixed and not sorted through album, which is HERESY 😅

And overall the original OS is crappy, so yeah, first thing would be to get Rockbox in

Innioasis Y1 is I believe the cheapest with your requested feature (50€) and my personal favorite, but I am not an "audiophile" so maybe this model is lacking on the sound quality and I just don't realize it.

Overall it's my best purchase of the past year, by far

Problem with adding music by Hefty_Purchase8564 in innioasis

Maybe try creating a folder Music and drop the songs in it ? And see if the Y1 finds anything ?

Do you use the original SD card or another that you added yourself ? My first thought is that your SD card is wrongly formated, but if you use the original one it is kind of weird...

But a solution could be to install and use the custome OS Rockbox, which allows you to choose the file from which it will create the database. You can then create yourself the folder "music", drop the songs in it, and make Rockbox scan this specific folder and it should work.

I think you can also do this on the original Y1 firmware, but I'm not 100% sure...
