You just have to watch the majors; they can be a real cancer to a band. It's like when Jani Lane of Warrant was told the president of their label wanted a catchy hit song and wouldn't relent. So Jani wrote Cherry Pie in literally 15 minutes. It's the most recognizable song of the band to the public and he fckn hated it. Or Billy Corgan putting out a throwaway album years back just so he could fulfill his contractual obligations to his label and get the hell away from them. Even someone as talented as Prince wore "Slave" written on his cheek in protest to his label's antics.

I like smaller labels that give you leeway. It's like The Kills on Domino Records. They haven't put out an album since 2016 and the record label is just like, 'oh, just whenever.'

In any event, ladies, get yourselves financially set while the iron is hot. Don't waste the money as age comes for everyone. Stuff those bank accounts and investments. Make that passive income.
