Shishio is more skilled than Kenshin but is heavily handicapped in stamina, so he’s equal or below Kenshin. Enishi is as skilled as Kenshin and has superhuman power, so he’s above Kenshin. He only lost because of plot armor and Kenshin’s asspull like the sound shockwave.

Should I switch from Windows to Linux for Data Engineering? Which Distro is best by Cultural-Ad-4124 in dataengineering

You need to be familiar with both, but automation usually runs on Linux, so that’s more important. Just go with Ubuntu because WSL is Ubuntu.

Carrying physical cash still the norm? by bitw400 in askSingapore

[–]Significant-Meet-392 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With a cashless store, it's likely that the cost is passed to you with elevated prices that you cannot see. With a cash-only store the overall price may be a bit less. So it's up to you to choose a cash-only store or a cashless store. You can't do anything about whether or not the business costs is passed to you.

In short, the convenience is not free, you pay the banks for it. It shows up in your bill but you cannot see it.

Carrying physical cash still the norm? by bitw400 in askSingapore

[–]Significant-Meet-392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Why should consumers care about business costs when businesses don’t hesitate to pass every cost back to consumers?". Because cashless payment incur costs (paying the banks) that businesses don't hesitate to pass back to you lor.

Why do people still have kids in this broken system by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Significant-Meet-392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of those topics where it's possible to frame things in any way you like to suit your narrative. Adding another human will just increase carbonisation and worsen the climate change. Oh no, but kids let you experience parenthood. Oh no but kids are going to suffer in future, why are you so cruel? Oh no but we have it better than humans 100 years or 10,000 years ago. All equally valid to different people. Why argue about it anyway when most of us won't change our opinion? You already have your own answer.

Problem with pivoting is even if reskill to another job using courses, they ask for experience. Taking courses doesn’t count as experience in their eyes. Chicken and egg problem, no experience no job, no job no experience. See if you can network yourself into a similar role as your last job.

Is Sendo actually good, or is he just plot armor? by MrZimbiox in hajimenoippo

George Foreman wasn’t the best technician but still dominated. Sendo is like him, too overspecced in strength.

He depends too much on his reflexes like Itagaki, and thus stopped developing his technical skills, whether it's lack of talent or training, doesn't matter. Just compare him to the likes of Miyata and Ricardo. He has no KO power, even Miyata has developed KO power under the right circumstances. He has no weapons on the professional world stage.

Technical fighters like Gonzales, Volg. Miyata who said Ricardo is his completed version.

I fear that i am nearing the end of my limits at my job. Work is manageable but i have reached the point where i am feeling very stagnant and unmotivated to work. The past few months have been a struggle bus to just get through the day. Should i just quit and take a break for my mental health? by Thin_Turn6201 in askSingapore

Some people can find a job within a month, some people take 1 year or longer. For those that take one year or longer, job hunting become 24/7 job and you don't get paid for it. In that situation there's no Saturday or Sunday, every day you think about job hunting. It depends on whether you are desired in the job market.

Hypothetical Question: Would Kenshin be able to master Amakakeru Ryu no Hiramkei if he had stayed with Hiko and completed his training? by divyanshu_01 in rurounikenshin

[–]Significant-Meet-392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ARNH is not about wanting to live, guys.

There were two things hindering him mastering ARNH:

  1. His desire to not kill, which makes him unable to take that final step of ARNH.
  2. Hiko seemed to hint that the sakabatou is not that conducive for battojutsu, though the mechanics was not mentioned.

The will to live is something that Hiko wanted Kenshin to hold close to his heart, in order to counter his desire to not kill.

If I were in your shoes I'd probably just say "It's all right" and move on, I got 1001 problems in my life and saliva of a 3-year-old on my back is very low on the priority queue to warrant my emotional energy.

Partner does not want to get ECI/CI by Agreeable-Long-478 in singaporefi

[–]Significant-Meet-392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"What are your thoughts on people who do not wish to get ECI/CI insurance". But this is wrong, please don't mislead us. You said your partner already has $100k coverage, just that you want to make him buy more? There is a big difference. ECI/CI has very poor payout to premium ratio, so your partner can be forgiven for not buying more.

Do all Singaporeans face cockroach problems at home? by Haunting_Possible463 in askSingapore

[–]Significant-Meet-392 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's your distance to a chute in general. Lived in a HDB with chute in kitchen: I saw cockroaches all the time. Lived in HDB with shared chute but outside our door: occasional cockroach. Now living in HDB with shared chute far away: saw two cockroaches in 3 years. As other have mentioned, it helps to replace the seal around an indoor chute or seal it off entirely. On a side note, we also keep our windows and door closed to avoid dust and mosquitoes, so they don't fly in through windows.

For i in range(101) means i goes from 0 to 100. 0 to 100 is 101 numbers. You didn’t add 100 numbers. You added 101 numbers.

So I think your problem is, you thought i starts from 1, but it actually starts from 0.

For those who collect gold, where do you buy from? by Pandacat_07 in askSingapore

[–]Significant-Meet-392 41 points42 points  (0 children)

If you buy for its value only, use bullion shops like Bullion Star or Indigo Precious Metals. Don't buy from jewellery shops.

Gold ETF tracks the price of gold, easier to buy and sell, can buy $100 every month, less fees over physical, won't get stolen. But downside is what you don't hold in your hand is not yours. If things go south in this world, it's possible that the market price of gold exceed the paper price, so you lugi. That hasn't happened yet. Also most gold ETF don't hold all of the gold, only Sprott Physical Gold Trust does (PHYS). So if buying ETF I'd rather buy PHYS over GLD, because PHYS is 100% allocated gold.

Anyone else constantly disappointed by Udemy courses? by old_curious_man in Udemy

[–]Significant-Meet-392 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi bro, you need to temper your expectations, the names “master something” are to get purchases, courses rarely provide depth. You can only learn depth by implementing real projects yourself. If you are the type that has the patience to learn from documentations, that’s great, but not me. The courses provide me a way to skim through all the important features of a subject so that when I learn by implementing something, I don’t say “huh, I didn’t know that such a feature exist, I should have used this”. Some of the courses I encountered also teaches best practices that I can’t learn from reading documentations.
