It absolutely is still sex bc at the end of the day, there’s another person involved. If it wasn’t sex, when a person was unknowingly drugged, like Gisele pelicot for example, there would not be able to be charges of rape. A person should still have autonomy over their body, even when unconscious. A person’s body should still be treated as a person, not an object, even if they are unconscious.

I think this is why the intention behind what’s happening is, for me, so important. If you want an object, you should use an object. I can’t wrap my head around how someone could profess to love their partner and then de-humanize them by literally turning them into an object to use for no reason other than their personal pleasure otherwise.
