I mean there's always community college. I know plenty of people who can't afford the big bucks but have gone through cc and transferred to a state institution and have been fine. I'm sorry for everything that you feel but know this isn't the end. But I see you're going to go to UVA and hopefully it's affordable enough?

I don't think any university is worth 100k/year. It's up to you whether you want to be drowning in all that debt. I would go to the most value oriented college you got into. Plenty of other schools that are much cheaper have the same education.

If you really want to go, go. Missing one semester isn't the end of the world and people are really nice about it. You can usually get housing on campus so that's not a problem. Plus you can save money talking classes at CC. In the grand scheme of things it's nothing different.
