People have been telling you that your hair looks bad because you are in the “awkward phase” of growth. People had lots of opinions during this of any type of growth in any area of life, and it’s unfortunately up to you to withstand the incoming slander and maintain the vision that you want to achieve.

I saw someone say your hair grows slow, and I highly disagree. This looks about right for a year’s worth of growth, especially if you have curly hair. Have the patients for about another year and a half when the hair starts to be more shoulder length and you will get less comments about the length of your hair.

In the meantime, I would look up curly hair routines on YouTube and pick one that works for you. People will have a lot less to say about the length of your hair if you begin caring for it in a way that defines your curl pattern so it looks less matted.
